Hi, i give my toddler lactaid. Does your baby have tummy trouble?

2% is what our pediatrician recommended (cow’s milk).

We do whole milk, per doctor recommendation. If that doesn’t work for you, I’d call your Doc and ask. My nephew was on goats milk for a while and that worked for him, then he was better with cows.

I gave my son whole milk from 1-2 yrs old and then at 2 I alternate cartons and buy one whole milk and one 2 % .

We give our son whole cow’s milk and pea protein milk (Ripple). The pea protein milk has more protein/calcium/vitamin D than cow’s milk (and it’s much better for the environment), but not quite as much fat, which is why we do both.

Little ones need the protein and fat along with other things found in whole milk, my son goes through close to 2 gallons a week

Depends how old— at 1-3 whole milk, they need the fat for brain development. After that can go to 2%.

My son can't tolerate milk so we started Almond milk at 1 year and he did fine. He is a good eater and so he gets the fats from other things. I'd consult with your pediatrician bc he or she knows your child and medical history best

Full fat coconut or unsweetened soy(fortified), there's a lot of research from nutritionists showing that kids can respond badly to dairy because they can't digest it. And there's quite a bit of cholesterol in dairy as well that isn't present in milk alternatives and can still provide a good source of protein and other nutrients.
