Gradually. Eliminate the chaotic feedings during the day, then nap time, then night feedings and the morning feeding is the last and the hardest one. Don’t take the next step until the previous one is eliminated completely. At least a week pers step, depending on you baby. There will be a set back, just give into it, and when baby calms down, start again. If I were you, I’d get help from lactation consultant in order to do it right and comfortable for both of you, without any tears and trauma for the little one. It’s the hardest age to wean, honestly, consider waiting till 18 months?

Not really, my 14 month old is nursing mornings, before naps and at bedtime. I am happy to keep going but honestly don’t think he gets much milk and it’s just habit/routine and comfort. Not in a rush to stop but would like to at some point!
