Children friendly cafes/restaurants

Looking for local places to eat that have a kids area. I know a few Mc Donald’s and Chik-Fila places, but Im wondering if there are non-fast food places. Where we lived previously, it had several places like this and made eating and getting out for play dates much easier!

Arrears child support

Please no rude comments, only constructive responses. Long story— So my mom kicked out my dad and threw out all his stuff with him when I was in high school. My mom basically had her lawyer tell us (6kids) that we couldn’t live with my dad because the law said we had to stay with my mom. That didn’t make sense to us because we knew friends who lived with their dad but we didn’t know enough. An... More

Membrane sweeps

Please share you experiences after a membrane sweep. How quick did you go into active labor and deliver after? Just had mine done and I’m 4 days away from my due date. I haven’t had this done in the past, and my first 2 came a couple day before their due date. I’m feeling some pretty irregular contractions now, which I was told is normal

Pedaling tips

My 3.5 year old has been on a balance bike since he was 18 months. He’s real good at it and has been coasting with his legs up for over a year now. He recently asked for a pedal bike so we got him a 12” specialized bike. Only thing is, he can’t seem to pedal! Videos online show kids just hopping on and being able to pedal like second nature, but my son is having a hard time understanding the pe... More

Auburn Co-ops for preschoolers

Anyone in the area in a co-op for preschool age? I have a 3.5 year old with Asperger's. I have considered doing a co-op a couple days a week, so he can get some socialization without paying the cost for a preschool where I'm not confident he's being cared for. I'm a stay-at-home mom and want to know of nearby co-ops and how they work. I also have an almost 2 year old and am not ... More

Autism/special needs evaluation?

I live in Auburn and have been trying to figure out how to get a free evaluation for my 3 year old who I suspect may be on the spectrum. We are currently going to Hope Central in Seattle (they take our insurance) and waiting on their list (our appointment is in June 2019). I was told by several friends (out of state) though, that there should be a government program that offers free, in home e... More

Infant sweats

Well, my almost 2 year old is not an infant anymore— but he has always been a sweaty child since he was a newborn. I don’t just mean night sweating, or sweating when bundled up, I mean he sweats even in the cold. His hands and feet always seem tacky from sweat. His head seats all the time, even when we shave it off. No one else is sweating, but he still does. And his ears are always sticky insi... More

There's probably no scientific answer, so I'm asking about experiences

What's the likely hood of having a much smaller baby after a big baby? I'm 5ft and around 108 lbs pre pregnancy. My first two boys were considerably large babies to me. My first was 8 and 7ounces, my second was 9 and 6 ounces. I'm having a girl in March and would, just for once, like to have a small baby. Like, a 6 lb baby. (I'm not asking for a premie or unhealthy baby by an m... More
