Has anyone put their child in occupational therapy for sensory disorder? What types of things do they teach there?
Hi! My son is almost two years old and he will not give up his miracle 360 cup. We have been trying to get him to drink from a regular cup, straw, or thermos and he refuses to have it anywhere near his mouth. Has anyone had this issue? Any hope for getting past this phase?
Hi all! We have the opportunity to put our son in a PreK2 class which has a set curriculum and classroom setting but we also have a fantastic daycare which he is in now that learns through play using the Reggio Emilia approach. My son has a speech delay so we thought the classroom setting might help him but in your opinion what approach has worked best for you? Play or classroom for age 2? Than... More
I have been trying to teach my 22 month old body parts. We started learning them when he was about 18 months old because I didn’t realize he was supposed to know them already at that point. I was able to get him up to 5 different body parts but we spent about a week or two not talking about it and he forgot all of them! My 20 month old responds to time outs well but we don’t know where to do it at. He used to do it in his playpen because he hated it there so much but it can’t contain him anymore. The only other options we see are his crib or the high chair but I don’t want him to hate those places. Does anyone have a recommendation for time outs?

He also has a little bit of a developmental delay because he can’t feed himself with a spoon yet, drink from a straw, or drink from an open cup. Does anyone have any experience with this type of delay? How long does it take to catch up? Did they seem to be at the same level as the oth... More
Has anyone experienced a regression where the child was able to walk on his own then two weeks later doesn’t want to stand or walk by himself anymore? It’s so frustrating because we were so excited about his progress.
My 12 month old needs us to stay in the room while he falls asleep in the crib, must have his pacifier or he will scream the whole time and will wake up at least twice a night 12am and 2am for comfort or to play. We eliminated his night time feedings months ago so I know he is not hungry. He just has trouble staying asleep. Any advice? How old was your little one when he could sleep at least an... More
