We are in Fl, specifically Volusia county public schools next school year they will be 3rd and 2nd 🤞🏻🤞🏻 graders. They’ve both excelled in reading since they first learned how so I’m not too worried about that side but I want to keep their math, grammar, etc skills up. What are the best work books to get? They work a little each day over the summer just like coming home to hw during the school y... More
Calling all teachers, home school parents or worksheet maker people (?) I would like to know if there’s a sheet of some sort out there that you give to your child/student like a mini book report? Basically they read this book/chapter and now to make sure they read/comprehended it there’s a worksheet that asks basic questions name of book, characters, problems etc. I have a 1st & 2nd grader... How can you help a 6 year old mature to the level of other 6 year olds? He’s not mentally or physically delayed in anyway but he’s incredibly immature. I was under the assumption that you couldn’t push/rush maturity is this true or is that only pertaining to physical? He constantly lies, steals, is disruptive, and destructive (on a smaller scale), claims he has friends at school when in fact... More
Hi all. I’m looking for advice on the best shoes for an active/destructive 6 year old. The best shoe’s he’s had were ADIDAS Sambas, they lasted and never started to fall apart but I need a variety so he can also have a choice in the matter. Currently he’s wearing Vans something or another I believe it’s part of their off the wall set but basically a normal shoe not high or low tops. Anywho th... More
My oldest boy had a field trip here and bc we’d been wanting to go we went as well. The kids didn’t get to check out any of the art 😕 Instead they went to the kids area and played which they loved and listened to a presentation. The kids area I wasn’t impressed with due to most of the hands on exhibits being broken or missing crucial pieces. I’d definitely go back for the art but it’s kind of e... More
It’s a nice little park although I wish it weren’t so close to the beach. Centered more in town would be ideal for us but nonetheless it’s a fun little park with a splash pad, playground and bathrooms. Parking is a beast on busy days but we don’t go that often.
This park is so awesome, first off the park is huge! It’s not just a playground, there’s basketball, volleyball and handball courts, huge open fields, skate park, bathrooms, tables, and a walking path. The only other this I wish they had was a batting cage. The playground is huge, with most equipment large enough for adults to play too. If you don’t want to play there are plenty of benches. The... We LOVE this place. They have coupons online for the go karts and arcade tokens. They have double go karts for your mini mees who can’t drive yet. The arcade isn’t very big or have very many younger kid games but if you don’t mind shelling out a few bucks the kids have a great time anyway.
I went last August right after the kids went back to school. I had never been to the water park before, I didn’t know high school kids were the life guards and therefore a major part of the water park was closed. I paid a ton of money for a wave pool and one slide. I won’t go back for the water park but I’d definitely do back for the arcade the kids have been there a few times and had a great t... More
