My 7 month old breastfed son wakes up almost twice through the night. Every night! And I’m tired. He’ll wake up around 1 am then again around 3. I know he’s not hungry. I’m debating whether I should try to just leave him in his crib till he falls asleep. But I hate hearing him cry. What are your experiences? Any advice to getting them to sleep through the night?
I have a 20 month old and a 4 month old. I haven’t had the courage to go out by myself with them. Any tips?
My son is going to turn 19 months this month and he still doesn’t sleep through the night. He takes one nap in the afternoon. His bedtime is at 9 and he falls asleep good. But then two hours sometimes 4 hours later he wakes up crying. He doesn’t sleep in his crib anymore so he gets up from his bed and starts banging on the door. Then either me or my husband gets him and he’ll sleep with us or I... More
My son is 15 months and lately he’s been waking up crying an hour or two after I put him down in his crib. We let him cry it out a bit then either I or my husband will go pick him up and bring him to our bed. Then he just sleeps with us. Oh I forgot to mention I’m also 7 months pregnant. He only naps once in the afternoon for about 2 hours and we put him down for bed around 9. Need help! I don... More
I’m 5 months pregnant with my second baby. My son is 13 months and I delivered him csection due a drop in his heart rate when I had contractions. I have the option of choosing to deliver naturally or schedule a csection. The doctor said I could deliver this baby naturally but there’s a tiny percentage that my uterus could rupture. They don’t know the extent to how much I have healed from my las... More
Any tips to get baby to stay and sleep in his crib? When do they start sleeping through the night? My son is 8 months and we’ve been trying to get him to sleep in his crib but he wakes up and cries and we pick him up and bring him to our room. I know this probably isn’t the best thing to do but it’s the only way he’d go back to sleep. Help!
I would like to buy padding for my crawling exploring son. We have carpet in our living room but would like to put something on top for him to crawl and be free. I was thinking of getting foam floor mats but I thought I could just buy a big blanket to put over for when he’s in the living room and take it off when he’s not there. What are your recommendations?
We just transitioned my son to his crib. I’ve been putting off for a while. He was sleeping with us or in his bassinet. He can’t stay in his bassinet anymore because he knows how stand and crawl. Now that he’s in his crib he’s been hitting his head. I want to get the crib bumpers but articles online say it can suffocate him. So now I don’t know what to do. I’m first time mom so any tips or sugg... More
My son is going to be 5 months in less than two weeks. Lately he has been fighting his naps and going to bed at night. I know he’s sleepy and fights me so hard to sleep. He starts to whine and fight his way out of my arms. Eventually he does sleep but now it’s hard to put him to sleep. He wasn’t like this before. Anyone else experience this? Any tips?
Any tips on making bathtime easier? I am currently bathing my four month old in the bathroom sink but now he’s getting too big for it. I haven’t been bathing him in his bathtub because it’s hard for me to bathe him there which I would put in the bathtub. My back starts to hurt and we have shower doors it isn’t that easy to lean over. But I think I have no choice but to do it now.
We recently went to my son’s four month old check up. The doctor recommended we start to feed him cereal because he isn’t sleeping through the night. He gets fussy at least 2 times during the night so I pick him up to nurse. She recommended feeding him cereal at dinner time so he can sleep through the night. She also said for the future it isn’t good for him to nurse in the middle of the night ... More
My son is going to be four months in a couple weeks. He usually takes 2-3 naps a day, 3-4 hours long. He wakes up around 8 or 9. He takes his first nap around 11. He’ll then wake up around 2 and then go down for another nap between 3 and 4 o’clock. Then depending on the time he falls asleep, he’ll wake up around one and a half to two hours later. Then depending on that he’ll sometimes have a ... More
What are your opinions on letting babies watch videos/TV shows like nursery rhyme videos on YouTube and Little Einstein's? I feel guilty putting him to watch while I do a little work around the house. I feel like it isn't good for him but his playmat that we have for him can only entertain for a certain amount of time and then he wants to sit up. Any suggestion on other activities to do with him?
