Baby #2...

Just found out I am pregnant with baby #2. My son will be about 2 months shy of being 2.5 when the baby is born. That being said, we've been working on potty training with him since he was a little over 1. He did it all by himself. It's a slow process in the sense that he doesn't always go on the potty, but he willingly goes into the bathroom when we say time to go potty. Plus we ha... More

Toddler Bed

My son is going to be 1.5 next month and I believe it is time to move him to a toddler bed. He can't climb out of his crib, but he does try and ends up almost getting his leg stuck.

Trying to conceive #2

Hello. My husband and I are officially trying for baby #2. I bought a TTC kit that has 2 months worth of vitamins with folic acid and it came with ovulation and pregnancy tests. Is there anything else I can do to help get pregnant? I got my first period last month after getting off of the Depo, but it only lasted for like 3 days. Also, any advice on having two younger children would be apprecia... More

Baby Food..

So, there are times where my son is still hungry after a full, bigger container of baby food. He is almost 11 months old, and I am trying to slow down how many bottles he is getting in a day. Is it okay to give him more than one container during a feeding?

Constantly sick baby...

For the past 2-3 months, my now 9 month old son has been sick.. He has had cold like symptoms and two ear infections... I don't know if the medication for the ear infections has helped at all... Last night he spiked a fever of 100.0 F... I gave him Tylenol and it went down, but went back up this morning... I don't know what else to do... It seems like nothing I do is helping him...

Increased hunger on Depo

Ever since my second dose of the Depo shot, I have been hungry pretty much all the time. I try to not eat right away when I'm hungry if I have just eaten a meal, but sometimes I can't help it and feel like I need to eat something. Even after I've had a big meal, I seem to be hungry within about an hour after eating. Anyone else experience this?? This is my second time being on the s... More

Weaning to whole milk??

My son is on Alimentum due to some sort of issue with regular formulas, so I'm not quite sure if he can have milk, but I was wondering at what age you all started weaning from formula/breast milk to whole milk and how you went about it?

Baby hates being stationary...

Ever since he learned how to crawl and pull himself up to stand/walk along furniture, my son hates being put in anything that doesn't allow him to move around/get into things. We let him crawl in his bedroom, but eventually he gets mad because he knows that all of our stuff is in the living room. I can't get anything done until late at night when I get home because if I put him in his s... More

Already wanting another???

I know it's a little soon... My son is 9 months old... But I've already been thinking about wanting another baby. I don't think I would go through with actually trying for another one right now or anytime soon, but I was just wondering when all of you decided to have another? Like what is the age gap between? If you had children less than a year apart, how did you handle it? What ar... More

So much poop....

My 8 month old has had diarrhea since Wednesday and was throwing up Thirsday and Friday. I took him to the ER yesterday(Friday) and all they did was prescribe Zofran for the puking, told me to give him pedialyte, and sent us home... I've tried everything I can think of and nothing is working. He seemed to be getting better and just recently he pooped four times in about 20 minutes.. It'... More

My poor baby...

So not only does my son have another tooth getting ready to poke through, but he also has a cold. He is so congested and nothing we are doing for him is helping. We've tried suctioning his nose (it helps for a little bit and then he's congested again), we've tried a chest rub, and the humidifier. Any other suggestions?? He's almost 8 months old.

Still not sleeping through the night...

Please help. My 7 month old still does not sleep through the night. He did for about 2-2.5 months, but after he was 4-4.5 months old and started teething, he stopped. Well his first tooth has finally poked through and is about halfway out, but he still doesn't sleep through the night and is sleeping a lot during the day the past couple of days. He does sleep a little better at night, only w... More

Transition to sippy cup???

So I am on WIC. At my last appointment with them they told me to start transitioning my son to a sippy cup. My son is 6 months old, going on 7 months on the 19th. They gave me a hard plastic one with no stopper or anything. He makes a huge mess and does not seem very interested in actually putting it in his mouth. I went out and bought one with a rubber mouth piece on it instead to try and make... More

First tooth

Hello everyone. So my son is finally cutting his first tooth. The very tip of it finally poked through the gums yesterday. My question is, how long will it take for the tooth to fully emerge?? He still seems to have some pain with it trying to fully come in and I just wanna know how much longer this will last for him.

Baby sucks on his tongue

So lately I have noticed my 6 month old sucking on his tongue. I don't know if it's teething or what it is. Has anyone else dealt with this??? What did you do??

Need to vent....

I'm just so exhausted that I keep getting frustrated.... I'm starting the CIO method because I don't know what else to do, but with being so exhausted lately between work and not sleeping as much as I should, I'm getting really irritable and frustrated.... I would never do anything to harm my child, but me getting frustrated and irritated isn't any better... I feel like a te... More

Lacking sleep as a teacher

Please help. My 6 month old used to sleep through the night. Started at 2 months old and lasted until he was about 4.5-5 months old and now he is teething. We've tried everything. We give him a nighttime bubble bath and occasionally add nighttime shampoo and body wash. We make sure he is well fed and is dry and he still wakes up 3-5 times a night. I'm a daycare teacher and I tend to be ... More
