Our daughter attended for over 2 yrs and we all love it and our daughter has blossomed here. Daycare is located walking distance from GP Bart station and is close to Glen Park, Balboa, Bernal, Excelsior. Rasha, the provider, helped our daughter adjust to daycare, makes sure the children have a weekly field trips (discovery museum, cal academy, zoo), music classes, yoga classes, daily tri... More
PSA: when you go here make sure you don't offer small piece of lettuce so the cow doesn't extend its tongue and lick your hand like it did in this photo! Such a gross and hilarious part of our day today! We went after 4, when it's closed and you can still walk around and feed the goats, sheep and cows.
Has good sandwiches, even an open faced pizza one that's huge! They serve Mitchell's ice cream to boot. Right across the st from Charlie's Corner. No highchairs and may be hard to maneuver stroller since it's a pretty small/tight space. Bathroom is small too. I was able to take my toddler to the bathroom, but no room for stroller in there and would have been hard if I had the ba... More
Finally checked out BADM on a gorgeous Day! It's completely free to the public the first Wednesday of every month. It was in the 80s today and a free day and it still didn't feel overwhelmingly crowded! There's picnic area and tables. It's a fun place for all but seems to geared towards younger kids --toddlers to early elem school) they have free parking and stunning views!
Great place and high chairs are available. Not much for vegetarians. We just went for happy hour with the baby in tow. We sat outside and she enjoyed watching all the birds flying around! No changing tables upstairs/patio level. There's one downstairs. They have TONS of signs asking you to no keep valuables in the car. It's on a quiet street so looks like there must be a lot of break-ins
So fun for the kids! They asked everyone to park strollers outside on the sidewalk --so keep that in mind esp in the rain! There were more young infants than older toddlers but still entertaining for all! We got there 20m before start time and the musical story time lasted 30mins.
This place never gets old. My kid comes a lot with daycare so she was basically MY tour guide today. Haha. You can bring your own lunch but I'd try to get seats at a table by 11-ish before it gets crowded. The rainforest area is hot and humid so strip off those layers first.
This is a great bookstore with the front section dedicated to kids' books. They regularly have music performances at the store too. We took the kids today and lasted about 20 mins. My almost 3 yr old sat and enjoyed and I stood in the back with her baby sister, in case I had to make a quick escape. It's super mellow and a little quiet (think coffee shop jazz) and the crowd is an old... More
This park gets loads of sunshine! It's sand based so be prepared for that. There's no bathroom but you can use the ones in the nearby cafe. Street parking is available, although it's a little difficult on weekends /prime time. It was full of kids and parents this afternoon!
Babies and kids are welcome here. They have a "whiners and wine " Wednesday for ppl to bring their babies. Although, people seldom take them up on it. Ha. It's a nice place to go early in the evening with baby. But it's quiet and small. And there are wine bottles everywhere! . But ideally you could sit outside in the parklette and have a drink or snack. They do have a good happy hour too.
Right across the street from Cline (same family of wine makers), this place was another hit. Free tastings. And today there was a pizza and wine pairing. My toddler had a blast running around the open space. There's also yummy olive oil tastings
Totally random but was looking for a place to kill some time. (I hate shopping btw) but this place was perfect. Tons of shops, including kid friendly ones like Disney, toys r us....but the best part is that they have a playground in the middle of it all.
We went here for dinner tonight and it was a great. They have a happy hour on weekdays until 6p. They are kid and family friendly. In most cases that just means that kids are merely welcome. But we felt like our kids were recognized. There's a kid menu and high chairs but more than anything, the staff is so warm and kind to kids. We went on st pattys, which was a Friday evening and even tho... More
Perfect place to kill some time in the morning while hubby is at a conference. Great playground for toddlers. Likely a little boring for older kids--except for the swings. Also next door to the library for added bonus. All the other parents were super friendly and so many just started up convos.
