Child care centers across the United States are facing an unprecedented staffing crisis, leading them to close classrooms and have capacity for fewer children. According to recent estimates, half a million families are without child care due to staffing shortages.
At Winnie, we’re in the business of helping daycares and preschools thrive so they can provide even more children with high-quality care and education. Today, we’re launching a new child care jobs marketplace aimed at helping child care providers easily hire qualified teachers and other staff for their centers. This launch builds upon Winnie's existing hiring solutions, including showcasing job openings on a provider's Winnie page and in weekly email updates to users.
The new dedicated child care job search section of Winnie is curated to showcase the best daycare and preschool jobs locally. Job seekers enter their city or zip code and can see which centers nearby are hiring, and what positions they are hiring for. Job seekers on Winnie include existing child care providers and parents who may be interested in these positions.
Winnie Pro providers can create, edit, or remove individual job listings via their provider dashboard and highlight salary, qualifications and any unique benefits offered to candidates. Centers are able to list multiple jobs (ex: assistant teacher, lead teacher) and applicants can apply directly from the job listing— leading to a more targeted pool of applicants.
Leads are delivered on a per-applicant basis, and can be viewed in numerous ways: on the provider dashboard, sent via email, or integrated into a center's ATS.
Winnie’s audience is primarily parents with children of daycare and preschool age, who are great candidates for child care positions. Many parents are motivated to work where they have the added perk of being able to see their child throughout the day.
