Intermediates

Our Intermediates program for 3-year-olds encourages hands-on exploration through learning centers focused on early literacy, math, and science. Our Links to Learning curriculum also helps children develop independence, practice social-emotional skills like sharing, taking turns, and understanding emotions, and build strong friendships. We also foster appreciation for diversity to create an inclusive, caring community.

Pre-K

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten and beyond by fostering classroom readiness skills, nurturing social-emotional growth through our character education program, and strengthening literacy and math skills. With our Links to Learning curriculum, your child will begin to express ideas through writing, solve math equations, develop an understanding and appreciation for diversity, and work together to create a strong classroom community. For children who miss the kindergarten cut-off, we offer additional academic rigor.

Early Preschool

It’s never too early to start preparing your child to be ready for school, and that’s why our parents—and their children—love our Early Preschool classroom. As a stepping stone to Preschool, our Early Preschool program has a unique, indicator-based curriculum, Learn as We Grow™, designed to address the individual learning needs of 30- to 42-month-old children. Our Preschool Readiness Enrichment Program (PREP) is that critical first step in transitioning your child from a traditional early preschool experience to complete school readiness. Through engaging lessons in literacy, math, science, and social studies, specially trained teachers support self-help and friendship skills. Inquiry-based learning centers promote exploration, while technology and Spanish activities enhance STEM understanding and language development, preparing children for future classroom environments and fostering essential social-emotional skills.

Skipwith Montessori

The Skipwith Montessori learning laboratory is in an orderly, focused, and calm environment for your child to learn and grow. Through the use of the Montessori manipulatives, your child will develop an understanding of the “why” behind the concepts being taught. Learning takes place in a mixed age group setting, individually and in small groups. Gaining independence, your child will be motivated and challenged through self-directed and purposeful activities. Areas of study include practical life, sensorial, geography, science, language arts, mathematics, and art. Creativity is fostered in the study of art. Your child will experience the opportunity to use a wide variety of art mediums to paint, sculpt, weave, and construct.
