Peyton’s Learning Place is excited to offer the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), Michigan’s state-funded free preschool. The program offers before and aftercare, highly trained teachers with bachelor’s degrees in elementary education, small class sizes, and developmental screening. Preschool-age children in the Explorers Classroom understand the idea of rules and they’re learning to play with their peers. Our Explorers Classroom curriculum help children delve into different topics through age-appropriate and engaging activities and helps build the foundation for Kindergarten readiness. Preschoolers in the Explorers Classroom will experience hands-on learning daily through a wide range of activities and develop fine motor skills that will help with writing and practice gross motor skills outdoors to gain better control over larger muscles. Pre-K

Pathfinders (4 years old to 5 years old): Children in the Pathfinders Classroom will be asked to complete more concrete tasks to ensure they’re prepared for the next step in their education. Our goal is to ensure your child has mastered all the necessary skills to enter Kindergarten by providing individual planning, challenging your child, and considering their progress. Pre-K children in the Pathfinders Classroom will strengthen math, science, writing, reading, arts, and physical skills through differentiation and small group activities and work on mastering key Kindergarten-required skills. Infant Daycare

Infant program offering a physically and emotionally safe place for your baby to explore and learn about the world around them. Shoe-free policy ensures that classrooms are clean and safe for little ones to move around. Daily routine includes time outdoors, group time, and discovery baskets for sensory exploration. Trained teachers spend time cuddling, singing, and reading to your child.

Toddler Daycare

Toddlers are on the go, exploring and learning new things throughout each day. Classrooms are kid-size in design, allowing children to do more things independently, building their self-confidence. Photos of the children’s families cover the walls of the classroom, creating a sense of community. Daily routine includes: outdoor play, circle time, dance & movement, reading, art, music, and free play.
