With Flex Care, you can purchase child care days ahead of time, so you have a flexible, reliable, simple way to navigate scheduling needs. Prepaid Flex Care cards can be purchased in five-day increments, which are honored for one full year. Flex Care is also a perfect option if you stay home but need an occasional day off, or to take advantage of our summer program options.

Preschool

Our Explorers Classroom curriculum help children delve into different topics through age-appropriate and engaging activities and helps build the foundation for Kindergarten readiness. Preschoolers in the Explorers Classroom will experience hands-on learning daily through a wide range of activities and develop fine motor skills that will help with writing and practice gross motor skills outdoors to gain better control over larger muscles. Great Start Readiness Program

Experts agree that children who have quality early learning experiences are better prepared to be successful in school and throughout life, so Wee Discover offers the Great Start Readiness Program as part of Great Start Collaborative-Oakland. GSRP is a free, high quality preschool program that, like Head Start, uses research-based curriculum to prepare children both academically and socially. This program is certified as very high quality by the Early Childhood Investment Corporation. Half- and full-day openings at certain schools and childcare centers, with transportation available at select sites. To enroll, children must be four years old on or before September 1 of the upcoming school year. GSRP and Wee Discover are committed to ensuring all children under the age of 5 receive routine developmental screenings.

Early Preschool is our first K-Prep program. Your child is on the brink of becoming a preschooler and we will give them the skills needed to be successful in our Preschool program and beyond.

You’ll love the reliability and flexibility, and your child will love our proven early education curriculum and fun, safe, secure environment. Prepaid cards come in five-day increments and can be bought at your school. Each is good for one full year. Once you’ve completed the enrollment paperwork, just call 48 hours in advance to reserve your spot.
