Kindergarten

In our Honors & Kindergarten program, each child further develops focus, motivation, persistence, and discipline through their work. In this framework of order, the child grows at their own pace and rhythm. At the same time, they find the joys of learning and developing social and intellectual discipline. Our Honors & Kindergarten program sets children up for success in the elementary grades and beyond. This is done by drawing on their concrete base to develop conceptual thinking. Students in our Honors Program are not yet school-age but are ready for more rigorous academics in a full-day program and thrive in a Montessori mixed-age classroom.

First Grade

Our Elementary program seeks to develop higher-order thinking and emphasize conceptual understanding through interdisciplinary learning. With a certified Montessori Elementary teacher and small class sizes, children are challenged to develop critical thought, enhance oral & presentation skills and synthesize information across various subject areas in a personalized and supportive learning environment.

Kindergarteners

We provide programs to ensure readiness for first grade. This includes reading for kindergarten, and a continued learning of technology and art. Our kindergarten classes combine our L.E.A.P early education curriculum with an environment of fun, open-ended exploration, investigation, discovery, and building self-confidence and self-esteem. It’s the perfect opportunity for optimum growth in academics, socialization, physical fitness, and emotional well-being.

Kindergarten

The program is highly academic while also nurturing your child’s social development through the use of centers and structured, creative play. The curriculum is based on the Archdiocese of Baltimore Course of Study including Language Arts, Math, Religion, Social Studies, Science, and Special Areas.

Elementary school at St. Joseph's means an academically rigorous environment for your child that promotes learning through hands-on lessons, differentiated instruction, and a cross-curricular approach to enhance all content areas. Technology is infused in all content areas.

Get ready for a great start and finish to every school day. In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation. And there may be transportation to and from your elementary school. Ask the director for details.

At Childtime, our Drop-In Care program gives you the freedom to purchase child care days in advance. This allows you to use them when you need them—all year long! As a parent, you’ll appreciate the reliability and flexibility while your child enjoys our proven early education curriculum in a safe, secure, fun environment.
