Inspectors (5 years old): We work closely with the education department and school district to ensure your Kindergartner is prepared for the next step in their education upon graduation. We work with each child individually, differentiating lessons and equipping young learners with the tools necessary to master the basics before flying up a level! Kindergartners in the Inspectors Classroom will complete activities designed to meet common core standards and work on fundamental skills like letter sounds/blends, sight words, early readers, and more! Most activities are child-led, which means students focus on their interests and move easily between activities. The children in this classroom get a balance of flexibility and structure—they have the time and space for schoolwork and fun with games, activities, and outside time. School-age children in the Voyagers Classroom will do homework in a quiet area and be provided with help as needed, enjoy learning stations for STEM, sensory explorations, and building challenges, and join in organized outdoor activities (kickball, soccer, tag-related games) plus reading and arts and crafts. Lightbridge Academy’s infant program is an ideal, developmentally appropriate environment for little ones as they learn to move, pull up, roll over, and eventually crawl.
