Our Infant Care Program is committed to making the first transition away from home natural and easy for both you and your child.

Toddler Program

Our Toddler Program is specifically tailored to the needs of your busy toddler. We lovingly nurture your child through important early milestones, from “self-help” learning skills such as hand washing and putting away their toys, to socializing and forming first friendships.

Intermediates

Our Intermediates program for 3-year-olds encourages hands-on exploration through learning centers focused on early literacy, math, and science. Our Links to Learning curriculum also helps children develop independence, practice social-emotional skills like sharing, taking turns, and understanding emotions, and build strong friendships. We also foster appreciation for diversity to create an inclusive, caring community.

Beginners

In our Beginner program for ages 2–3, children build confidence and independence through self-help skills like dressing themselves and washing their hands. Teachers support big emotions and encourage curiosity with hands-on activities. Our Links to Learning curriculum builds vocabulary, introduces early math concepts, and helps children begin to use simple reasoning. Spanish is gently introduced, enriching their learning environment.

Preschool Explorers

The Preschool Explorers program provides a nurturing and creative environment for two and three-year-olds. Children engage in age-appropriate activities such as filling containers at the water table, stacking blocks, and working on puzzles in large, bright classrooms designed to stimulate exploration and learning. The program emphasizes individualized lesson plans, daily teacher-family communication, and the development of social, creative, and self-help skills. Teachers create structured yet flexible schedules that support each child's developmental needs.

Junior Kindergarten

The Junior Kindergarten program is for four- and five-year-olds who miss the September cutoff for public or private school Kindergarten and who have completed a preschool program. It prepares them for kindergarten by focusing on literacy, math, science, and social studies. Children engage with stories, letters, sounds, and words to enhance literacy, while math concepts are taught through hands-on activities. The program also develops handwriting skills with creative materials and includes technology instruction. Social skills are fostered through interactive play and activities.

Montessori

The Montessori learning laboratory is in an orderly, focused, and calm environment for your child to learn and grow. Through the use of the Montessori manipulatives, your child will develop an understanding of the “why” behind the concepts being taught. Learning takes place in a mixed age group setting, individually and in small groups.

The Youth Zone (School Age Care)

The Youth Zone is our before and after school program that enables working parents to know that their child is safe and supported in the hours leading up to, and following their school day. Children have an opportunity to spend mornings and afternoons with friends in an environment that is fun, friendly and relaxing.

Our Toddler Explorers program caters to children aged 16-24 months, providing a nurturing and safe environment. Individualized lesson plans, designed by early care professionals, support social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Summer Camp

Summer Camp at The Merit School makes it easy for parents to keep their routines by providing an exciting, safe, activity-driven place for their kids when school is out. Our summer camp program begins at the conclusion of the school year and continues through June, July, and August. Outdoor activities are a mainstay of the program, including swimming!

Pre-K

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten and beyond by fostering classroom readiness skills, nurturing social-emotional growth through our character education program, and strengthening literacy and math skills. With our Links to Learning curriculum, your child will begin to express ideas through writing, solve math equations, develop an understanding and appreciation for diversity, and work together to create a strong classroom community. Infants

In our Infant program, we focus on keeping each baby happy, comfortable, and eager to explore their classroom. Teachers use positive interactions to support each baby’s mental, physical, and social development in a safe, nurturing environment. We follow babies’ cues and provide individualized schedules. Our Baby Sign Language program helps teachers connect with infants, building trust and supporting early language skills. School’s out, but the learning and fun don’t have to stop! Summer Camp at Learning Paths Academy makes it easy for parents to keep their routines by providing an exciting, safe, activity-driven place for their kids when school isn’t happening. Put your child in our action-packed summer camp program for school age children, and get ready for a summer filled with exploration, discovery, and endless smiles. Our summer camp program begins at the conclusion of the school year and continues through June, July, and August.

In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation.
