Infant Classroom

In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need, as well as opportunities to begin learning about the world around them. Toddler Classroom

As toddlers are rapidly developing both physically and cognitively, the Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered, and their language and communication skills are nurtured. A lifelong love of learning starts early, and we believe in providing brand-new learners with the tools they need to be successful. In the Toddler classroom, our proprietary education program, Wonder of Learning™, comes to life as expert teachers harness children’s natural curiosity, guiding them to explore the world around them through hands-on learning, play and asking questions. Infants

The Gardner School’s infant program provides a warm, nurturing environment where babies build trust, confidence, and early learning skills. Guided by The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos, teachers foster exploration through responsive, individualized care. Nursery suites feature personalized touches like individual cribs and family photos, while small ratios, a shoe-free policy, and flexible feeding and diapering routines ensure a safe, clean, and tailored experience. We maintain strong parent communication through real-time updates, developmental assessments, and shared moments via our app. Teachers use American Sign Language to support early communication and incorporate Itsy Bitsy Yoga to promote sleep, digestion, and well-being. Preschool Program

Toddlers

Our Toddler program provides opportunities for children to physically explore their world inside the classroom and on the playground. They also begin more structured activities, such as learning centers and circle time. Your toddler will begin learning concepts of color and size, build their vocabulary, and explore foundational scientific concepts. Our teachers understand the challenges that one-year-olds face in a social learning setting, and have experience in helping them adjust to the give and take of the classroom environment.

Beginners

The Beginner program, for children ages 2-3, introduces more routine and structure to the children’s activities and schedule. Your child will build vocabulary, learn foundational mathematical skills, and will be encouraged to use simple reasoning to explain everyday occurrences. The concepts of social studies, diversity, and Spanish are introduced as our Beginners examine and explore the world around them.

Hummingbirds: We understand that infants need nurturing, and parents need to feel secure knowing their child is in good hands. Our infant teachers are hand-picked natural caregivers who focus on meeting the individual needs of every child. While your child is in our care, you can rest assured that they will receive the attention and interaction they need and deserve. Recognizing that structure is essential to both infants and parents, our teachers will work with you to create a schedule, so your infant’s time away from home is as close to home as possible. Our hummingbird curriculum also includes our Global Gull American Sign Language Program. Most young children begin to talk around 12 months old, while some infants even try to communicate with their parents and caregivers even earlier! One way of helping our young children express their feelings, wants, and needs without crying and frustration of a lack of understanding from adults is through simple sign language, commonly known as ‘Baby Core Signs.’ These core signs include words like milk, sleep, play, all done, more, mother, father, etc.

Young Toddlers
