Toddlers

Your once baby is now a Toddler, eager for exploration, independence, and self-expression. An environment that is warm, challenging, safe, exciting and that fosters autonomy and self-esteem is crucial! Their imagination is at its peak and should be encouraged. This is an important time to challenge their gross motor skills and to develop important cognitive functions. Our Toddler Program is strategically designed to captivate Toddlers’ innate curiosity and imagination while promoting autonomy. While our hands-on sensory activities surprise them daily and encourage them to explore the world through play, our Thinking Strategies help them comprehend it. Our experienced educators create a warm environment that prioritizes emotional safety, design a physical space that promotes autonomous exploration; plan exciting activities that surprise Toddlers daily, and use VESS Thinking Strategies to promote deep thinking.

Toddlers

This is the time when children use their bodies, senses, and emerging problem-solving skills to learn about and make sense of their world in the ways most meaningful and effective for them. Our toddler educators give your toddler responsive, individualized attention to help build their skills. Activities range from the simple to the complex, with work areas arranged by subject. Montessori materials not typically found at other schools are used, as children choose activities based on their own interests. We focus on sensory and perception; self-help; language; physical and motor skills; social and emotional growth. We’re also here when you need us. Primary

Learning revolves around tangible experiences. Practical life exercises like sorting, pouring, or washing dishes are introduced. Children also use concrete materials such as movable alphabets, cubes, cylinders, and other objects to learn. They learn to work together, with each others’ best interests in mind. This broad-based program allows children to explore a range of subjects and ideas: science and nature, music and movement, sensorial experiences, cooking and nutrition, cultural awareness, history; geography, language arts, and mathematics.

Intermediates

Our Intermediate program, for children ages 3-4, provides children with many opportunities to explore learning centers and engage in authentic writing experiences. Your child will be introduced to literacy concepts and expand upon mathematical thinking and scientific inquiry through hands-on materials and exploration. Children will also begin to practice social-emotional skills and independently navigate their classroom community.

Pre-K

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten as they learn letter-sound relationships and sight-word recognition, and gain an understanding that writing is used to express thoughts and ideas. Children explore concrete mathematical concepts, such as simple addition and subtraction. Our character education program helps develop the strong social and emotional skills that ensure a successful transition to kindergarten.
