At The Gardner School, summer becomes something magical. Our Wings & Wonder 2026 theme invites children to explore, imagine, and grow through a season filled with curiosity, creativity, and joyful learning. Designed for toddlers through Pre-K, our summer program blends play-based learning with hands-on exploration, giving children the freedom to spread their wings in a nurturing, engaging environment. It’s a natural entry point for new families, and a season current families look forward to all year. DC Prep Edgewood Elementary (PK3-3rd)

Students develop the social, emotional, and cognitive competencies that lead to a love of school and learning.

Infant Program

At this age, your infant is mainly learning through observation and exploration. For example, as our Infant teachers talk and sing with your child during feeding, diaper changes and playtime, your little one is beginning to understand language and conversation. Nurturing interactions like these will fill your child’s day and can be adapted and personalized to meet their individual needs.

Toddler Program

In our Toddler program, you’ll find carefully selected equipment that our newest walkers love to climb on, crawl through and hide in while stretching their gross motor skills. Teachers also use books, toys, games and other materials to create exciting explorations into colors, shapes, science and more.

WeeWorld Infant

Open Monday to Friday, 7:30 am–6 pm, year round program. Separate nap/play areas, English-Spanish immersion, Sign Language, individualized care, sensory & bonding activities, nutritious meals, year-round program, parent support, loving staff, daily updates, & dedicated infant play space.

WeeWorld Toddler

Open Monday to Friday, 7:30 am–6 pm, year round program. Safe, hands-on learning space with early academics, confidence building, English-Spanish immersion, potty support, nutritious meals, parent resources, daily updates, and nurturing toddler experiences.

Pre-K
