3MB Pre K is a faith-based preschool that teaches ABCs, 123s, and what thus saith the Lord! Children learn Spanish, American Sign Language, and basic Kindergarten Readiness using Lillio Learning. Children have specials classes in Music, Dance, and Tumbling with monthly fieldtrips to the Library.

In the pre-school program, children are consistently exposed to new ideas. Pre-school is a time of new boundaries and explorations, and our classrooms are set up to reflect that. Each classroom is sectioned into learning centers that the children are able to visit both independently and with teacher guidance. The entire day is based on balance: loud activities, then quiet; individual instruction, then group games; left-brained then right-brained activities. Our curriculum continues with review of the shapes, letters, numbers and colors. More handwriting practice is done working with writing independently in addition to tracing. Animals are now part of a larger science unit that include daily science lessons and more discovery experiences. *PLEASE NOTE: We do not offer weekend or overnight care.*

Our goal is to ensure that every child who completes our pre-kindergarten program is greatly prepared for kindergarten, and this will translate into a life-long love of learning and education. The pre-kindergarten program extends all of the concepts introduced in our pre-school program to a higher level. A sampling of our goals for our pre-kindergarten children is recognition of at least 50 sight words; knowledge of letter sounds; rhyming and word patterning; counting to 100 by ones, fives and tens; addition and subtraction through toys; awareness of the world around them and social difference; the knowledge of the scientific process; and the ability to attempt to solve problems without teacher aid. The children continue with computers and Spanish, in addition to participating in an instrumental music program. *PLEASE NOTE: We do not offer weekend or overnight care.*

Penguins: The early preschool years are nothing short of amazing! Children at this age have an overwhelming eagerness to learn and you will notice that their ability to experiment, explore, and focus on set activities begins to change rapidly. Our Penguin program supports young preschoolers and their need to be challenged, engaged, and encouraged in their learning and personal interests. All of this is done with the belief that children learn best through play! The success of our preschool classrooms truly lies in the environment and materials that have been carefully selected to provide our preschool children with a high-quality learning experience. The individual learning environments in these classrooms invite children in to explore, create, wonder, and question the world around them and is where you can expect to see the elements of our Nest Play curriculum and many other activities come to life. Our Penguins curriculum includes the Global Gull Spanish Language Program. 10-12 minutes are set aside each day to introduce and practice new Spanish vocabulary. Words are selected that relate together in a common theme. Manipulatives and realistic images are used alongside learning new words. New Spanish vocabulary is incorporated into the children’s learning experiences and opportunities. A few examples of Spanish words we will learn together: Todo Hecho (All Done), Jugar (Play), and Sí (Yes).

Robins: The older preschool years consist of so much learning and development! Their peer relationships are strengthening, they have a more complex understanding and use of language, and their overall motor skills have developed rapidly. Our Robins program continues to provide for preschoolers and their need to be challenged, engaged, and supported in their learning and personal interests. To prepare our older preschoolers for entering school, teachers provide guidance on following directions and routine, communication with others, problem-solving, and self-control through fun and engaging activities inside and outside the classroom. Learning experiences will take up the bulk of their day and is where you can expect to see the elements of our Nest Play curriculum and many other activities come to life.

Discovery Preschool

Preschool program designed to create a strong academic and social foundation. Teachers introduce math, literacy, and science. Activities also include music, movement, art, pretend play, and group games. Children become an active part of their classroom community.

With our Traditional Preschool Program, you select the number of sessions you would like, which days of the week, and whether you would like mornings or afternoons. We have amazing preschool teachers that utilize the terrific Creative Curriculum®system. This method leverages children’s natural curiosity to explore and learn more about the world around them. Our sessions are a little longer than most preschools – 3 hours – to allow for more learning time. If you need care before or after preschool, you can transition into or out of our Flexible Childcare program to meet your needs.
