The Kumon Reading Program starts your pre-readers off with fun “look, listen and repeat” worksheets. Colorful illustrations help connect words to familiar objects, to start putting words together. Your child will progress to identify nouns, verbs and adjectives, and use them within sentences.

Before & After Care

Stratford offers Extended Day programs to give parents the added convenience to meet their busy schedule. Dedicated and specially trained staff, experienced in working with students, oversees homework and facilitates creative and fun activities. Available as early as 7:00 a.m. before the school day begins and after the school day ends until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, Extended Day provides students with structured time for finishing school work and ample time to socialize, read, play games, and enjoy team challenges or independent activities.

Kindergarten

In Stratford’s kindergarten program, students tackle math, grammar, phonics, and reading in the morning, while afternoon sessions feature music, writing, Spanish, and science several times each week. Kindergarten students learn to explore subjects more deeply – allowing for greater understanding, more critical thinking, and analysis. Kindergarteners begin formal recitation to develop public speaking skills, and teachers use poetry, music, and reading aloud to promote students’ self-assurance in front of a group. Before & After School

Get ready for a great start and finish to every school day. In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation. And there may be transportation to and from your elementary school. Ask the director for details.

Drop-In Care

We all have our own unique schedules and demands on our time. At The Children’s Courtyard, we recognize that scheduling needs may vary by family—or even by the day. That’s why we offer Drop-In Care: Purchase child care days ahead of time, then use them as needed. Prepaid Flex Care cards are sold in five-day increments and are good for a full year. Once you’ve completed your enrollment paperwork, we just need 48 hours’ notice to reserve a spot for your child.

Before & After Care

The Catalyst Kids Before & After School program provides a safe, engaging, and enriching environment where children can extend their learning, build friendships, and explore new interests. Located on elementary school campuses, our programs foster positive relationships and support children’s academic and social development. With structured activities and ample opportunities for self-directed exploration, students receive homework assistance, participate in creative projects, and engage in hands-on learning beyond the classroom. Each center is uniquely designed to meet the needs of the children, families, and school communities it serves. Our daily schedule includes a community-building meeting, academic enrichment, nutritious meals served family-style, and 30 Fit, ensuring at least 30 minutes of physical activity for a healthy lifestyle. Children explore their interests through long-term clubs, enjoy open recreation, and participate in both indoor and outdoor play spaces tailored to different age groups. Our dedicated staff, trained in child development, CPR, and first aid, create a nurturing atmosphere where kids feel supported and empowered. Additionally, we offer specialized TK and Kindergarten enrichment programs to meet the unique needs of our youngest learners, ensuring a seamless transition between school and extended care.

Fellow campers become friends and friends become family. Welcome to the family! Our camps promote learning and skill building in a real-world atmosphere. Campers get the opportunity to practice what they learn during the school year, make connections, and engage in topics that they want to know more about. Students get to collaborate on exciting themes and activities that are designed to promote skill building while having fun. In a typical day, we promote an active and healthy lifestyle with healthy snacks, meals, and physical activity. We focus on discovery, play, and engagement and support Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics concepts while building lasting connections. Our Camp Leaders recognize each camper’s unique contribution to the camp experience while bringing their own knowledge, talent, and positivity to help our students grow.
