Get ready for a great start and finish to every school day. In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation. And there may be transportation to and from your elementary school. Ask the director for details.

Before and after school program focused on the developmental areas of: creative expression, community, literacy, inquiry-based learning, character development, and executive function. Daily routine includes: time for puzzles and games, science, math and construction, library, and creative arts. Teachers will also provide help with homework. Your child will have the opportunity to start clubs, create projects, and become a junior leader. Program provides daily physical activity and snacks.

Homework Assistance

We know that homework completion, accuracy, and understanding are of top priority for parents with children in after school care. Our tutors offer guidance and assistance with homework and have additional exercises for each child to work on based on his/her individualized plan.

A reliable, relaxing space tailored to complement an older child’s daily school routine. The center provides dedicated, supportive homework guidance alongside creative project times, structured peer group socialization, and engaging team-building games.

Sher Bear Home Daycare offers reliable before and after school care for school-age children. Before care begins at 6:00 AM with school drop-offs. After care starts at 3:30 PM with school pick-ups and homework help. We provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment families can trust. Enroll!

Sher Bear Home Daycare is a loving, Christian-based childcare program. Licensed since 2007, I hold degrees in Early Childhood Education and Criminal Justice and am Illinois Gateway Certified.
