Step-Up Early Preschool

Being two is a special time in life. Your child wants to exert independence, but still needs to know there’s a caring adult who has their back. Our early preschool teachers balance these needs in our Step-Up Early Preschool Program by providing a more structured environment that offers room for exploration, learning and fun. Our early preschool program responds to your child’s natural curiosity and assists during this important transition from toddlerhood to preschool.

School Age

Designed for the interests of today’s active students, our school-age program offers a safe, fun and supervised environment to start or end the school day. In our school-age classroom, we’ve created a before and after school space that supports your child’s experience in school – without making them feel like they’re still in school. And during school holidays and summer months, we offer a full-day program rich in hands-on activities and exciting field trips!

Preschool

Penguins: The early preschool years are nothing short of amazing! Children at this age have an overwhelming eagerness to learn and you will notice that their ability to experiment, explore, and focus on set activities begins to change rapidly. Our Penguin program supports young preschoolers and their need to be challenged, engaged, and encouraged in their learning and personal interests. All of this is done with the belief that children learn best through play! The success of our preschool classrooms truly lies in the environment and materials that have been carefully selected to provide our preschool children with a high-quality learning experience. The individual learning environments in these classrooms invite children in to explore, create, wonder, and question the world around them and is where you can expect to see the elements of our Nest Play curriculum and many other activities come to life. Our Penguins curriculum includes the Global Gull Spanish Language Program. 10-12 minutes are set aside each day to introduce and practice new Spanish vocabulary. Words are selected that relate together in a common theme. Manipulatives and realistic images are used alongside learning new words. New Spanish vocabulary is incorporated into the children’s learning experiences and opportunities. A few examples of Spanish words we will learn together: Todo Hecho (All Done), Jugar (Play), and Sí (Yes).

Infants

Hummingbirds: We understand that infants need nurturing, and parents need to feel secure knowing their child is in good hands. Our infant teachers are hand-picked natural caregivers who focus on meeting the individual needs of every child. While your child is in our care, you can rest assured that they will receive the attention and interaction they need and deserve. Recognizing that structure is essential to both infants and parents, our teachers will work with you to create a schedule, so your infant’s time away from home is as close to home as possible. Our hummingbird curriculum also includes our Global Gull American Sign Language Program. Most young children begin to talk around 12 months old, while some infants even try to communicate with their parents and caregivers even earlier! One way of helping our young children express their feelings, wants, and needs without crying and frustration of a lack of understanding from adults is through simple sign language, commonly known as ‘Baby Core Signs.’ These core signs include words like milk, sleep, play, all done, more, mother, father, etc.

In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation. And there may be transportation to and from your elementary school. Ask the director for details.

Drop-In Care

With our Flex Care program, you can purchase child care days in advance to use, as you need them—all year long. You get reliability and flexibility, and your child gets to experience our proven curriculum in a fun, safe, and secure environment. You can purchase prepaid cards in five-day increments through your school, and each is good for one full year. After completing the enrollment paperwork, just call 48 hours in advance to reserve your spot.

Wondercamp
