Through our commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment, our caregivers ensure that each child feels secure and comforted. In addition to personal care, our infant teachers focus on approaches to play and learning, cognitive development, communication and language, physical development & social and emotional development.

Twos

At Big Blue Marble Academy, we create an environment that nurtures and embraces the high-energy attitudes of two-year-olds by giving them plenty of room to explore. Our curriculum for this age group incorporates music and movement to introduce children to new skills in fun and memorable ways, build their confidence, and help strengthen their love of learning. A typical day can include songs, story time, music, and movement during “Circle Time” and “Free Choice,” which gives children the opportunity to make choices about what activity they would like to participate in based on their own interests. Our childhood program focuses on providing enriching learning experiences for young children in our child care center. Our childhood education classes are designed to support their brain development, promote literacy skills, and introduce new math concepts.

Preschool

Our daycare center's structured preschool program is designed for 2, 3 and 4-year-olds with a curriculum that focuses on supporting the growth of the whole child.

After School Care

Georgia Pre-K

Our state-funded Pre-K program provides learning experiences that set the stage for academic success and lifelong problem-solving skills in an environment that attracts and engages the children. In line with the latest research that all children grow, develop, and learn at their own pace, our curriculum is built to challenge without creating frustration, thus providing success that instills the lifelong love for learning. Our teachers work very hard to prepare the children for Kindergarten through early-reading activities, developing early math skills, practicing team work skills, participating in science experiments, and working on penmanship.

Summer Camp

Each year during summer months, our Passport to Adventure Club transforms into a high-energy, fun-filled, full-day summer camp! Our camps take global learning to a deeper level through hands-on, multi-sensory experiences, field trips (where available), interactive interest-based clubs, and world language learning. Big Blue Marble Academy’s summer camp offers fun and learning. Campers love everything that BBMA has to offer, including lasting memories and making new friends. Big Blue Marble Summer Camp is open to school age children (ages 5-12). We also incorporate our summer theme into our preschool classes (children ages 3-4) with on-site activities.

Our infant program offers a warm, loving, and nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks to 24 months. Through engaging songs and stories, your infant will begin developing early language skills as they recognize voices, sounds, and words.

Preschool

We provide a structured preschool program along with full-day care for children ages 3 to 4. Our play-based literacy curriculum encourages your child to have fun, make friends, and build essential skills in the following areas: Language and Literacy, Science and Social Studies, Arts and Crafts, Number sense and Math, Social and Emotional Development, and Large and Small Motor Development.

Before & After School

Get ready for a great start and finish to every school day. In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation. And there may be transportation to and from your elementary school. Ask the director for details.

Drop-In Care

We all have our own unique schedules and demands on our time. At The Children’s Courtyard, we recognize that scheduling needs may vary by family—or even by the day. That’s why we offer Drop-In Care: Purchase child care days ahead of time, then use them as needed. Prepaid Flex Care cards are sold in five-day increments and are good for a full year. Once you’ve completed your enrollment paperwork, we just need 48 hours’ notice to reserve a spot for your child.
