Early Preschool

Our Early Preschool teachers partner with you to help your child learn important independent life skills like potty training and hand washing while paying close attention to all aspects of your child’s development.

Preschool

Your preschooler is beginning to connect letters, sounds and numbers, expanding their world through reading and math. They’re building critical-thinking skills, early physical fitness and an understanding of nutrition. Our teachers support that learning and encourage your child to think in new and different ways.

Preschool Program

Our preschool curriculum builds literacy through letters and numbers while supporting cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and creative growth. Through fun, engaging activities and partnership with you, teachers help children build confidence and a love of learning.

Two's

Two-year-olds are naturally curious, so teachers share classic stories and nursery rhymes during daily story time. Children explore learning through free-choice centers such as puzzles, dramatic play, water play, blocks, and art.

The Prepper program was designed to meet the special needs of maturing children to build a perfect bridge to the classroom that will come next.

Preschoolers

Preschool education introduces Preschoolers to more advanced subjects—math, science, reading, technology, art, and shared and independent play

Preschool

Preschoolers are more relaxed and cooperative with the advantage of easily engaging, communicating and reasoning with them. Preschoolers enjoy a full day program with activities that encourages them to be active, socialize with their peers, enhance motor and cognitive skills and be creative. The preschool classroom is warm and welcoming with lots of opportunity for interaction with educators and other preschool children. Periodically, learning also takes place outside of the Centre. At Learning Jungle School, children enjoy a variety of trips and outings to the Library, local Fire Station, Zoo and other places of interest, in which parents are also encouraged to participate.

With our Links to Learning curriculum, your child will begin to express ideas through writing, solve math equations, develop an understanding and appreciation for diversity, and work together to create a strong classroom community. For children who miss the kindergarten cut-off, we offer additional academic rigor.

Our Intermediates program for 3-year-olds encourages hands-on exploration through learning centers focused on early literacy, math, and science. Our Links to Learning curriculum also helps children develop independence, practice social-emotional skills like sharing, taking turns, and understanding emotions, and build strong friendships. Our preschool program is designed to encourage our three-year-olds to develop respect and appreciation for other cultures through our global curriculum, including weekly Spanish classes taught by an experienced bilingual preschool teacher. Children learn language skills through stories, music, and games in an immersive, interactive environment, with a learning program tailored to preschoolers’ unique needs.

Four's

Young children are permeable learners, meaning they have the capability to learn many concepts at once. At four years old, our students in the preschool learning program, led by experienced preschool teachers, are getting ready to incorporate all that they are learning at the physical, cognitive, and social-emotional levels in order to make that important transition to kindergarten. Our focus on higher-level thinking within a safe and nurturing learning environment, where students learn to approach problems and attempt new challenges with an “I Can” attitude, means that they can carry these foundational skills with them to kindergarten and beyond.

Half-day 2-Year-Olds

At Ivybrook Academy, we understand that the age of two is a time of wonder and rapid growth. Our half-day program is thoughtfully designed to nurture your child’s natural curiosity, support their developmental milestones, and foster a love for learning.
