School Age Care Program

Children will receive a snack after school and then have time to complete homework. When homework is complete the children enjoy books, arts, crafts, board games, puzzles and sports. We are open all days besides major holidays. Children can be picked up and dropped off from school.

Summer Camp

We do have summer camp; children go on a field trip every other week, T-shirts are included in the fee, free meals, etc. Don't miss out! Hours: 8am-4pm

Partnering with Action For Children since 2025, we are able to bring the Preschool program to our Peques classroom! The PFA room provides students with 2.5 hours of instruction from a Licensed Professional Educator per day using Creative Curriculum, field trips, screenings and assessments, and more!

Peques W&G Learning Center is DCFS-licensed child care center, Ms. Sandra D. has over 20 years of early childhood education experience. Our play-based curriculum encourages curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional growth, while developmental screenings and assessments ensure every child succeeds.

Our specialized preschool curriculum uses rhymes, stories and hands-on activities to encourage those first steps toward building the foundational skills for reading, writing, math, and science.

Pre-Kindergarten

Our Pre-K Program is designed specifically to ensure students are ready to THRIVE in Kindergarten and beyond.

Intermediates

Our Intermediates program for 3-year-olds encourages hands-on exploration through learning centers focused on early literacy, math, and science. Our Links to Learning curriculum also helps children develop independence, practice social-emotional skills like sharing, taking turns, and understanding emotions, and build strong friendships. We also foster appreciation for diversity to create an inclusive, caring community.

Pre-K

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten and beyond by fostering classroom readiness skills, nurturing social-emotional growth through our character education program, and strengthening literacy and math skills. With our Links to Learning curriculum, your child will begin to express ideas through writing, solve math equations, develop an understanding and appreciation for diversity, and work together to create a strong classroom community. For children who miss the kindergarten cut-off, we offer additional academic rigor.

Bridge Classroom

Children in the Bridge classroom are strengthening their self-care skills, growing in their independence and enhancing the skills they need to be successful in a preschool classroom. The Bridge classroom is a purposeful year of preschool prep designed for children with birthdays later in the year or children who may need more time to strengthen self-care skills or social-emotional development. In this classroom, our Wonder of Learning™ education program supports children's independence as they continue to build skills necessary for handwriting and drawing with increased intentionality, learn foundational math concepts and build strong vocabularies.
