School-Age Childcare Program

School Age Before and After Care

Before and after school program focused on the developmental areas of: creative expression, community, literacy, inquiry-based learning, character development, and executive function. Daily routine includes: time for puzzles and games, science, math and construction, library, and creative arts. Teachers will also provide help with homework. Your child will have the opportunity to start clubs, create projects, and become a junior leader. Program provides daily physical activity and snacks.

Eager to achieve socially and academically while expanding their knowledge of the world, 6-12-year olds seek new challenges, close friendships, and increasing responsibilities. Our school break and summer school-age programs have been designed just for them.

Summer Explorations

Summer Explorations at Bright Horizons® has everything under the sun: action-packed days, engaging projects, fun and educational activities, and more. Here, preschoolers (ages 3-5) and school-age children (ages 6-12) will have the opportunity to enjoy what summer has to offer, and our safe environment will give you the peace of mind you need.

3 Year Old Preschool (Penguins)

Children in the Penguin room focus on learning through play and being part of a group, focusing on social/emotional elements of interpersonal skills. They are introduced to the alphabet and complete crafts and other activities that align with PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood. M-F 9:00-12:00

Mixed-Age Developmental (Polar Bears and Seals)

Children in this program participate in activities that focus on social/emotional development as well as creative thinking and expression and interpersonal skills. This is a great program for children who have never attended preschool before. Polar Bears MWF 9-12:00; Seals TTH 9-12:00

Infant Classroom

In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need, as well as opportunities to begin learning about the world around them. Our proprietary education program, Wonder of Learning™, celebrates your baby’s natural curiosity within the classroom environment and models how to explore safely. Nurturing teachers narrate your baby’s experiences to build a strong foundation in 21st century skills for problem solving and building relationships.

Twos Classroom

In the Twos classroom, patient, caring teachers guide children through playful exploration. They help your little one navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity. Your toddler is constantly learning new things about the world around them. At The Goddard School®, our team is here to work with your little one every day as they play, learn and gain the skills they need to prepare for preschool. Our Wonder of Learning™ education program will immerse your child in literacy, science, arts and math brought together in one activity for a more holistic—and fun—approach to learning.
