LGLA coordinates with several local K-6 schools to assist with before- and after-school programs plus summer camps—especially helpful with younger siblings at the centers! We provide transportation to and from our learning centers, offer homework assistance (as needed) from our trained educators. Before and after school program focused on the developmental areas of: creative expression, community, literacy, inquiry-based learning, character development, and executive function. Daily routine includes: time for puzzles and games, science, math and construction, library, and creative arts. Teachers will also provide help with homework. Your child will have the opportunity to start clubs, create projects, and become a junior leader. Program provides daily physical activity and snacks.

Kindergarten

Our Kindergarten program is designed to deliver the traditional academic disciplines through a S.T.E.A.M. framework. The curriculum is centered on interdisciplinary projects that create engaging learning experiences incorporating the traditional academic principles through hands on, open-ended explorations. Through the use of instructional scaffolding, which allows students of mixed grade levels to interact and work collaboratively, students excel past the confinements and limits set by the traditional grade level system. In order to create this adaptive learning environment we offer limited class sizes and a closely followed teacher/student ratio. Each student in the program receives a customized education plan, known as an Individualized Learning Portfolio, that creates a personalized map for each student’s academic strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
