Skipwith Montessori

The Skipwith Montessori learning laboratory is in an orderly, focused, and calm environment for your child to learn and grow. Through the use of the Montessori manipulatives, your child will develop an understanding of the “why” behind the concepts being taught. Learning takes place in a mixed age group setting, individually and in small groups. Gaining independence, your child will be motivated and challenged through self-directed and purposeful activities. Areas of study include practical life, sensorial, geography, science, language arts, mathematics, and art. Creativity is fostered in the study of art. Your child will experience the opportunity to use a wide variety of art mediums to paint, sculpt, weave, and construct.

Bridge Classroom

Children in the Bridge classroom are strengthening their self-care skills, growing in their independence and enhancing the skills they need to be successful in a preschool classroom. The Bridge classroom is a purposeful year of preschool prep designed for children with birthdays later in the year or children who may need more time to strengthen self-care skills or social-emotional development.
