Half-day 4 & 5 Year-Olds

At Ivybrook Academy, we understand the exciting growth and readiness of four and five-year-olds as they prepare for the next steps in their educational journey. Our half-day Pre-kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten programs are thoughtfully designed to challenge, inspire, and prepare young learners through a balanced approach of academic exploration and creative play.

Half-day Transitional Kindergarten

Ivybrook Academy’s half-day Transitional Kindergarten builds strong foundations for success through individualized learning, hands‑on investigation, literacy groups, cultural awareness, and math reasoning. Children grow into confident, capable learners ready to thrive in Kindergarten.

Universal Pre-K

Little People's Landing is a state partner-provider for Colorado's Universal Pre-K (UPK) Program. Any child who turns four years of age before October 1 qualifies for 15 hours per week of free Pre-K instruction for 36 weeks. Colorado’s program is especially beneficial because it is not income-based; families with certain qualifiers may receive up to 30 hours weekly.

Children in the Pathfinders Classroom will be asked to complete more concrete tasks to ensure they’re prepared for the next step in their education. Our goal is to ensure your child has mastered all the necessary skills to enter Kindergarten by providing individual planning, challenging your child, and considering their progress. Prices are subject to change.

Prekindergarten Program

Final year of preschool designed to prepare children for kindergarten. Program puts a strong emphasis on literacy and language arts. Daily routine includes: reading, writing, math, science, Spanish instruction, movement, art, and music. We are a contracted provider with CO Universal Preschool (UPK).

Preschool Program

Hands-on preschool program with a strong focus on school readiness. Children are encouraged to think independently and express their individuality. Your child’s day is filled with creating, experimenting, and imaginary play. Curriculum includes: math, science, language, and spanish. Children begin to expand social skills and build friendships.

As children prepare for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities for them to develop the skills they will need while making friends and exploring the world around them. Our Pre-Kindergarten program helps your child learn more about themselves, others and the world around them. Teachers engage in play with students, helping them to develop their social skills and learn more about effective communication. Our Wonder of Learning™ curriculum emphasizes a child-led, teacher-guided approach, encouraging interactive, purposeful learning experiences that allows students to grow their math and literacy skills, preparing them for Kindergarten and beyond.

In our Preschool classroom, children start their journeys into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.
