Universal Pre-K

Little People's Landing is a state partner-provider for Colorado's Universal Pre-K (UPK) Program. Any child who turns four years of age before October 1 qualifies for 15 hours per week of free Pre-K instruction for 36 weeks. Colorado’s program is especially beneficial because it is not income-based; families with certain qualifiers may receive up to 30 hours weekly.

UPK (Universal Preschool)

We prepare your child for kindergarten! Our school is proud to partner with the state as a provider of the Colorado UPK program. This comprehensive, full-day program prepares 4-year-olds for that big step into elementary school. Plus, parents get peace of mind with extended child care, strict licensing standards, healthy meals and snacks, and access to live streaming video. We’re also open during all school breaks and for summer camp! Note: Child must be age 4 by Sept. 1.

Children at this age have an overwhelming eagerness to learn and you will notice that their ability to experiment, explore, and focus on set activities begins to change rapidly. Our Penguin program supports young preschoolers and their need to be challenged, engaged, and encouraged in their learning and personal interests. All of this is done with the belief that children learn best through play! The success of our preschool classrooms truly lies in the environment and materials that have been carefully selected to provide our preschool children with a high-quality learning experience. The individual learning environments in these classrooms invite children in to explore, create, wonder, and question the world around them and is where you can expect to see the elements of our Nest Play curriculum and many other activities come to life. Our Penguins curriculum includes the Global Gull Spanish Language Program. 10-12 minutes are set aside each day to introduce and practice new Spanish vocabulary. Words are selected that relate together in a common theme. Manipulatives and realistic images are used alongside learning new words. New Spanish vocabulary is incorporated into the children’s learning experiences and opportunities.
