Preschool

As children transition from the Nido program to our Preschool program, they enter a phase of the curriculum that builds upon on their expanded vocabulary. Collaboration and communication become the cornerstones of all activities. Within this framework, children are prompted to engage in small peer groups, fostering the exploration, design, and presentation of their projects. This approach encourages learners to formulate hypotheses, investigate processes, and draw conclusions, empowering them to articulate and defend ideas, building confidence in their ability to formulate individual opinions and become the authors of their own learning journeys. Explorations are based upon long term projects throughout the year, allowing students to build upon previously mastered concepts, deepening their ability to learn. Through these interdisciplinary projects, children engage in foundational learning skills such as math, science, social studies, and language arts in meaningful ways.

Voluntary Pre-K (VPK)

The state of Florida offers free pre-kindergarten for all 4-year-olds who reside in Florida and were born on or before September 1 each year. The school year program offers 540 instructional hours. VPK gives each child an opportunity to perform better in school, prepares every child in Florida for kindergarten, and builds the foundation for their educational success.

Pre-K

Our VPK/Pre-K program is is centered on interdisciplinary projects that create engaging learning experiences through hands on, open- ended explorations. This state-funded program is provided at no cost to families, with optional extended hours of care available for an additional cost beyond the standard VPK hours. Preschool Program

Students in the 2 and 3 year old program begin to experience a more developed curriculum, experiencing the fun of learning. Far from sitting at a desk, students are taught through play.

Pre-Kindergarten Program

Students who turn four after September 1, are not eligible for the state’s VPK program. Therefore these children enter our 4 year old preschool classes.

Preschool Program

Pre-K 4 (VPK)

At this age, children are introduced to the joys of writing and the beginnings of reading. From forming letters to recognizing and naming them, students learn to combine vowels and consonants. Activities incorporate language, vocabulary, the alphabet, emergent writing skills,​ and story-time.

Pre-K 2

Everyday moments with 2-year-olds present opportunities to build upon their natural curiosity. Children engage in teacher-guided play, where they learn how to follow directions and be a group member all the while developing gross and fine motor skills, confidence, respect, and self-esteem.

VPK Class

Primary

Learning revolves around tangible experiences. Practical life exercises like sorting, pouring, or washing dishes are introduced. Children also use concrete materials such as movable alphabets, cubes, cylinders, and other objects to learn. They learn to work together, with each others’ best interests in mind. This broad-based program allows children to explore a range of subjects and ideas: science and nature, music and movement, sensorial experiences, cooking and nutrition, cultural awareness, history; geography, language arts, and mathematics.

VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten)

We are a longtime provider of Florida’s VPK program. Our school was purposely designed and our classrooms thoughtfully curated with materials and learning centers that meet the needs of children 5 and under. Plus, before- and after-care is education-based, offering more essential skill development. We’re only closed for 9 holidays per year. Join us during school breaks and all summer. And get peace of mind with live streaming video and healthy, delicious food included. Note: Child must be age 4 by Sept. 1.

Early Preschool

As a stepping stone to Preschool, our Early Preschool program has a unique, indicator-based curriculum, Learn as We Grow™, designed to address the individual learning needs of 30- to 42-month-old children.
