Lower School

Kindergarten

Lightbridge Academy understands your desire to have your child well-prepared for first grade. Entering first grade, your Lightbridge Academy graduate will have a considerable advantage over other students. Our teachers follow a detailed curriculum that exceeds state educational requirements, bringing together the fundamentals of education into theme-based lessons that impact the whole child. Our Kindergarten program is designed to deliver the traditional academic disciplines through a S.T.E.A.M. framework. The curriculum is centered on interdisciplinary projects that create engaging learning experiences incorporating the traditional academic principles through hands on, open-ended explorations. Through the use of instructional scaffolding, which allows students of mixed grade levels to interact and work collaboratively, students excel past the confinements and limits set by the traditional grade level system. In order to create this adaptive learning environment we offer limited class sizes and a closely followed teacher/student ratio. Each student in the program receives a customized education plan, known as an Individualized Learning Portfolio, that creates a personalized map for each student’s academic strengths, weaknesses, and goals.

O2B Summer Camp offers FUN first to every child every day, and your child’s learning will never stop. Our integrated activity approach offers subjects such as Art, Science, Technology and Sports PLUS Neighborhood Time, Team-Building and weekly Themed Events. Make this the summer your child will remember forever! Weekly tuition includes lunch, snacks, field trips, shirt and a backpack!

Before School Program

Fun and enriching before school program that includes transportion to & from school and healthy snacks.

Drop-In Care

With our Flex Care program, you can purchase child care days in advance to use, as you need them—all year long. You get reliability and flexibility, and your child gets to experience our proven curriculum in a fun, safe, and secure environment. You can purchase prepaid cards in five-day increments through your school, and each is good for one full year. After completing the enrollment paperwork, just call 48 hours in advance to reserve your spot.

Wondercamp

An action-packed summer for children (ages 2 to 12). Our exciting Wonder Weeks include topics and activities designed to spark curiosity and imagination. We serve healthy food, play outside daily, and take field trips too! Parents will love our app with live streaming video and photo highlights.

Before & After School

Get ready for a great start and finish to every school day. In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation. And there may be transportation to and from your elementary school. Ask the director for details.
