Summer with Goddard is an exciting 12-week program filled with lots of outdoor play and fun learning experiences. It’s an extension of the school year featuring outdoor adventures and child-led exploration all in a caring environment.

An action-packed summer for children (ages 2 to 12). Our exciting Wonder Weeks include topics and activities designed to spark curiosity and imagination. We serve healthy food, play outside daily, and take field trips too! Parents will love our app with live streaming video and photo highlights.

Pre-K

Our VPK/Pre-K program is is centered on interdisciplinary projects that create engaging learning experiences through hands on, open- ended explorations. This state-funded program is provided at no cost to families, with optional extended hours of care available for an additional cost beyond the standard VPK hours. Within this framework, children are prompted to engage in small peer groups, fostering the exploration, design, and presentation of their projects. Collaboration and communication become the cornerstones of all activities. This approach encourages learners to formulate hypotheses, investigate processes, and draw conclusions, empowering them to articulate and defend ideas, building confidence in their ability to formulate individual opinions and become the authors of their own learning journeys. Through these interdisciplinary projects, children engage in foundational learning skills such as math, science, social studies, and language arts in meaningful ways.

Infants

Our infant room is designed to foster bonds and relationships with teachers & other babies while incorporating American Sign Language, music, & gross motor activities. Infants at The Learning Cottage know they are safe & loved as they develop social, cognitive, & motor skills in a home-like setting.

Toddlers

Our Toddlers eagerly enter their room with smiles, toddling to their teachers and peers. Daily activities include American Sign Language, music, outdoor experiences, motor and muscle activities, sensorial experiences, and more. Toddlers follow a monthly umbrella theme and weekly sub-themes that enhance their academic skills while nurturing their social-emotional development.

Infants

Nido, which means “nest” in Italian, perfectly describes the nurturing setting for our youngest learners. At this stage, small children are seen as explorers and scientists. The multi-sensory navigations of their environment, the spontaneity of observing, the desire to experience life with and through their body and the pleasure of enjoying human development in a natural way are the focus of our curriculum. A successful early learning environment fosters a community marked by meaningful relationships among young children and the adults in their lives—parents, teachers, and caregivers. These connections flourish through shared learning experiences in nature and through emotional connections. The community cultivates and sustains developmentally appropriate conditions that enable children to optimize their individual potential. From this perspective, the cultivation of purposeful practices, presenting thoughtfully prepared environments that challenge children, emerges as the ideal blueprint for the development of positive school experiences for children and their families.
