Preschool

Toddlers

Lightbridge Academy’s Toddler Program is designed to make the most of every one of their fast-paced milestones. Our curriculum specifically addresses toddlers’ rapid growth and development by catering to their readiness cues, with the older toddler curriculum focused on preparing for preschool and beyond. Preschool

Preschool provides the freedom and opportunity for children to develop and grow in independence and confidence. An engaged child learns! While having fun, they aren’t even aware they are developing reading and math skills. In addition, your child will gain the social skills necessary to succeed in Pre-K and beyond. Through small and large group instruction and activities, teachers focus on every child as an individual — enabling them to gain knowledge and thrive. Our proprietary Seedlings Early Childhood Education Curriculum utilizes theme-based lessons to strengthen your child’s emerging skills in reading, writing, science, technology and math. Additionally, we help prepare your child for the structured learning environment of a kindergarten classroom through teacher-guided instruction and child-led exploration focused on effective communication, the ability to follow instruction and how to work cooperatively with peers.

Toddler Daycare

Our toddler program in Mt. Laurel and Lumberton, the Sparrows, is an early development program designed for active, curious and mobile toddlers. We offer a fun and safe atmosphere that encourages physical, emotional and intellectual growth. Because this will be one of the busiest times in your child’s life, our teachers are energetic, engaging, and ready to help each toddler explore the world around them. They read, sing and play throughout the day which results in vocabulary advances for every child. Children at this stage have moved beyond infancy and are now mastering more complex skills that are needed for activities like painting, coloring, dancing, running, puzzles, imaginary play and games. Our curriculum recognizes that toddlers learn best by having opportunities to explore objects using ALL of their senses.

Preschool (2 Year Olds)

Our preschool program for two year olds in Mt. Laurel and Lumberton, NJ, is designed to meet the rapidly advancing needs of children between the ages of 2 and 3 in a fun, safe, and supportive environment, which is why we’ve named this group the Hummingbirds. At Laurel Tree Academy, we understand this is a crucial time for development, where toddlers make huge leaps in language, social skills, and independence. Our approach is centered on a hands-on, discovery-based curriculum where we explore and experiment with art, music, science, language, literature, technology, and math. As we play, our certified teachers talk with the children about numbers, weather, seasons, weights and measures, colors, feelings, family, shapes, letters, concepts, sounds, and so much more. Our goal is to help children learn in ways that are meaningful for them by nurturing their natural curiosity in a loving, family-oriented atmosphere.
