Our Links to Learning curriculum builds vocabulary, introduces early math concepts, and helps children begin to use simple reasoning. Junior Kindergarten

Your Junior Kindergartener will be taught by specially trained teachers using inquiry learning teaching methods. During small group instruction, teachers introduce subject matter specific content in literacy, math, science and social studies. Teachers guide students using inquiry-based learning techniques, so students not only understand the questions, but also, how they can find the answers, preparing your child for success in school. Your child will learn to use technology as a resource tool as he or she participates in problem solving activities reinforcing an understanding of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). They will be exposed to Spanish as the language is incorporated throughout the day in songs and games to train the ear and the brain for additional language learning. Summer Camp at Learning Paths Academy makes it easy for parents to keep their routines by providing an exciting, safe, activity-driven place for their kids when school isn’t happening. Put your child in our action-packed summer camp program for school age children, and get ready for a summer filled with exploration, discovery, and endless smiles. Our summer camp program begins at the conclusion of the school year and continues through June, July, and August.

Youth Zone (School Age)

The Youth Zone is our school-age program that enables working parents to know that their child is safe and supported during their working days. Children have an opportunity to spend their out-of-school time with friends in an environment that is fun, friendly, and relaxing and encourages socialization, togetherness, creativity, and growth outside of the school day.

Toddlers

Our infant care program provides a nurturing atmosphere designed to meet each child’s unique needs. Each infant enrolled at Northern Virginia Academy is assigned to a primary care group which ensures the one-on-one attention and care infants need to thrive. This personal, nurturing process fosters a trusting relationship between the child and the primary caregiver where the infant’s developmental needs set the day’s schedule.

Toddlers

Our toddler care program is designed for the child who wants to explore their world as they develop a sense of self. Each group of five toddlers has a primary teacher assigned to them that watches them closely to determine where their interests lead them. Soft play areas, indoor play equipment, and a variety of pull and push toys enable toddlers to discover and explore in a safe, fun, and exciting environment.
