Our Preschool Pathways program provides a “bridge” between our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms for children whose birthdays will miss the cutoff date for kindergarten entrance.

Early Preschool

Our Early Preschool teachers partner with you to help your child learn important independent life skills like potty training and hand washing while paying close attention to all aspects of your child’s development.

Three's

Our preschool program is designed to encourage our three-year-olds to develop respect and appreciation for other cultures through our global curriculum, including weekly Spanish classes taught by an experienced bilingual preschool teacher. Children learn language skills through stories, music, and games in an immersive, interactive environment, with a learning program tailored to preschoolers’ unique needs.

Four's

Young children are permeable learners, meaning they have the capability to learn many concepts at once. At four years old, our students in the preschool learning program, led by experienced preschool teachers, are getting ready to incorporate all that they are learning at the physical, cognitive, and social-emotional levels in order to make that important transition to kindergarten. Our focus on higher-level thinking within a safe and nurturing learning environment, where students learn to approach problems and attempt new challenges with an “I Can” attitude, means that they can carry these foundational skills with them to kindergarten and beyond.

Three's

Georgia Pre-K

For Four- and Five-Year-Olds Who Reside in Georgia. Georgia’s Pre-K Program is a FREE state lottery-funded educational program for all age-eligible four-year-old children in Georgia. The purpose of Georgia’s Pre-K Program is to prepare children for success in kindergarten and later school years. The program operates on the regular school system calendar for the length of the school day. The enrollment process involves submitting an enrollment form, birth certificate, utility bill, hospital record, and immunizations. To participate, children must be four years of age on or before September 1 of the school year and must be a resident of Georgia. Proof that a child is age-eligible and is a Georgia resident is required to register for Pre-K.

Children in the Bridge classroom are strengthening their self-care skills, growing in their independence and enhancing the skills they need to be successful in a preschool classroom. The Bridge classroom is a purposeful year of preschool prep designed for children with birthdays later in the year or children who may need more time to strengthen self-care skills or social-emotional development. In this classroom, our Wonder of Learning™ education program supports children's independence as they continue to build skills necessary for handwriting and drawing with increased intentionality, learn foundational math concepts and build strong vocabularies.

Preschool Classroom

In our Preschool classroom, children start their journeys into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting. At The Goddard School®, we recognize that classrooms are made up of many unique children and teachers work to create engaging, innovative, play-based lessons with the interests and needs of every child in mind. Through the power of asking a question, your child will learn how to seek answers and advocate for themselves in the classroom. The Wonder of Learning™ curriculum takes your child's natural curiosity and encourages them to ask even more questions because asking questions fuels learning. When children want to know something, they learn faster and learning becomes an understanding that lasts a lifetime.

Toddler Program

Our comprehensive Montessori Toddler curriculum is designed to meet the specifically unique needs and interests of each child, promoting intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth. Learning independence is also crucial at this stage of toddler development.

Primary Half-Day Program

The Primary Half-Day Program includes children 3–5 years old. They work individually and/or in small groups. The children engage in activities specially designed for their learning in Practical Life, Sensorial, Natural Science, Geography, Math, Language, Art, Spanish, Sign Language and Music.

Early Preschool

Preschool

Penguins: The early preschool years are nothing short of amazing! Children at this age have an overwhelming eagerness to learn and you will notice that their ability to experiment, explore, and focus on set activities begins to change rapidly. Our Penguin program supports young preschoolers and their need to be challenged, engaged, and encouraged in their learning and personal interests. All of this is done with the belief that children learn best through play! The success of our preschool classrooms truly lies in the environment and materials that have been carefully selected to provide our preschool children with a high-quality learning experience. The individual learning environments in these classrooms invite children in to explore, create, wonder, and question the world around them and is where you can expect to see the elements of our Nest Play curriculum and many other activities come to life. Our Penguins curriculum includes the Global Gull Spanish Language Program. 10-12 minutes are set aside each day to introduce and practice new Spanish vocabulary. Words are selected that relate together in a common theme. Manipulatives and realistic images are used alongside learning new words. New Spanish vocabulary is incorporated into the children’s learning experiences and opportunities. A few examples of Spanish words we will learn together: Todo Hecho (All Done), Jugar (Play), and Sí (Yes).

Pre-K

Robins: The older preschool years consist of so much learning and development! Their peer relationships are strengthening, they have a more complex understanding and use of language, and their overall motor skills have developed rapidly. Our Robins program continues to provide for preschoolers and their need to be challenged, engaged, and supported in their learning and personal interests. To prepare our older preschoolers for entering school, teachers provide guidance on following directions and routine, communication with others, problem-solving, and self-control through fun and engaging activities inside and outside the classroom. Learning experiences will take up the bulk of their day and is where you can expect to see the elements of our Nest Play curriculum and many other activities come to life.
