School Age Before and After Care

Before and after school program focused on the developmental areas of: creative expression, community, literacy, inquiry-based learning, character development, and executive function. Daily routine includes: time for puzzles and games, science, math and construction, library, and creative arts. Teachers will also provide help with homework. Your child will have the opportunity to start clubs, create projects, and become a junior leader. Program provides daily physical activity and snacks.

Montessori Program

The Montessori method is based upon the observations and discoveries of the first female Italian physician, Dr. Maria Montessori. Her philosophy nurtures the joy of learning in children at an early age, providing a framework in which intellectual and social disciplines coexist. She believed that education is a lifelong process, and it should be an aid to life. Her philosophy was that children learn at their own pace and develop according to their own timetable. Their physical, emotional, psychic, and intellectual abilities are interrelated. Children must have freedom, within clearly defined limits, to develop their full potential. Based on this philosophy, Creative Playrooms Montessori Program provides children with a prepared learning environment that helps them think, organize, and observe. The teacher functions as a guide, aiding children in their choice of developmentally appropriate learning materials. This environment, along with the teacher’s role, distinguishes the Montessori Programs from other educational approaches. Our program encourages self-directed learning where the child is free to explore and discover, allowing them to experience the joy of learning and promoting the development of self-esteem. School Age

Voyagers (5 years old to 12 years old): The Voyagers Classroom is designed to meet the unique needs of school-aged children. Most activities are child-led, which means students focus on their interests and move easily between activities. The children in this classroom get a balance of flexibility and structure—they have the time and space for schoolwork and fun with games, activities, and outside time. School-age children in the Voyagers Classroom will do homework in a quiet area and be provided with help as needed, enjoy learning stations for STEM, sensory explorations, and building challenges, and join in organized outdoor activities (kickball, soccer, tag-related games) plus reading and arts and crafts. Infant Classroom

In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need, as well as opportunities to begin learning about the world around them. Our proprietary education program, Wonder of Learning™, celebrates your baby’s natural curiosity within the classroom environment and models how to explore safely. Twos Classroom

In the Twos classroom, patient, caring teachers guide children through playful exploration. At The Goddard School®, our team is here to work with your little one every day as they play, learn and gain the skills they need to prepare for preschool.
