Half-day Toddler Preschool

Ivybrook Academy’s Toddler Preschool program is designed for the youngest citizens of our school community. This half-day program provides the perfect combination of play, learning opportunities, and flexibility, and we specialize in channeling their desire for exploration into activities that help them learn and grow. High-quality activities are specifically designed for your child’s attention span and to stimulate their curiosity, and they will learn to express themselves through reading, singing, dancing, and art.

Half-day 2-Year-Olds

At Ivybrook Academy, we understand that the age of two is a time of wonder and rapid growth. Our half-day program is thoughtfully designed to nurture your child’s natural curiosity, support their developmental milestones, and foster a love for learning. Through hands-on activities, interactive play, and a compassionate environment, we guide your child on their journey of exploration and self-discovery.

Infants

In our Infant program, we focus on keeping each baby happy, comfortable, and eager to explore their classroom. Teachers use positive interactions to support each baby’s mental, physical, and social development in a safe, nurturing environment. We follow babies’ cues and provide individualized schedules. Our Baby Sign Language program helps teachers connect with infants, building trust and supporting early language skills. Families stay connected with daily updates and photos through our Links 2 Home app.

Beginners

In our Beginner program for ages 2–3, children build confidence and independence through self-help skills like dressing themselves and washing their hands. Teachers support big emotions and encourage curiosity with hands-on activities. Our Links to Learning curriculum builds vocabulary, introduces early math concepts, and helps children begin to use simple reasoning. Spanish is gently introduced, enriching their learning environment.

Our infant program provides the foundation for future language and social development. In our unique infant room, your child is encouraged to explore. Our infant curriculum includes exposure to classical music and age-appropriate play activities.

Toddler Care Program

Using a variety of educational toys and activities, our toddler teachers encourage your child to learn through hands-on play, to solve problems through experimentation and to begin to develop language skills. Our curriculum incorporates music, story time, rhyming and group time into each day

Infant Program

At this age, your infant is mainly learning through observation and exploration. For example, as our Infant teachers talk and sing with your child during feeding, diaper changes and playtime, your little one is beginning to understand language and conversation. Nurturing interactions like these will fill your child’s day and can be adapted and personalized to meet their individual needs.

Toddler Program

In our Toddler program, you’ll find carefully selected equipment that our newest walkers love to climb on, crawl through and hide in while stretching their gross motor skills. Teachers also use books, toys, games and other materials to create exciting explorations into colors, shapes, science and more.

Infant

We maintain a 1:5 caregiver to infant ratio at all times to ensure the best care possible. The focus of our infant program is to provide care, love, compassion, and attention to each infant and we do this by always having plenty of experienced and passionate caregivers on staff.

Toddler

Designed for children ages 12 months to 24 months of age, the toddler program focuses on creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for each child. With a low teacher to child ratio, we ensure that each child gets individualized attention and instruction throughout the day.

Our Toddler Program is specifically tailored to the needs of your busy toddler. We lovingly nurture your child through important early milestones, from “self-help” learning skills such as hand washing and putting away their toys, to socializing and forming first friendships.

GHP Nursery

Our nursery is designed to provide the youngest learners with a safe, nurturing start. We intentionally keep our class size small—capping enrollment at just eight children—to remain well under state ratios to provide plenty of individualized care and attention.

Two's Classroom

Gold Hill Preschool offers a two's class for children who are mostly potty-trained. Our two-year-olds engage in a supportive environment that focuses on early learning, social development, and classroom readiness skills—all supported by attentive teachers who help each child thrive.
