Children's House Preschool

Our Children’s House preschool and pre-K program lays a strong foundation for academic and social success by honoring each child’s natural drive to learn. In this mixed-age Montessori environment, children explore subjects like math, language, science, and geography through hands-on materials and individualized lessons. The daily routine also includes real-world activities—such as preparing snacks or watering plants - that build independence, confidence, and a sense of purpose. Preschool

Our exceptional preschool programs lay the foundation for our students’ future learning. Challenger preschoolers enjoy an effective mix of music, reading, math, art, drama, social relating time, science, and physical activities that aim to improve small and large motor skills. Your child will be provided a strong foundation academically and socially. With several preschool programs available year round, we have one that will fit your family’s schedule.

Intermediates

Our Intermediate program, for children ages 3-4, provides children with many opportunities to explore learning centers and engage in authentic writing experiences. Your child will be introduced to literacy concepts and expand upon mathematical thinking and scientific inquiry through hands-on materials and exploration. Children will also begin to practice social-emotional skills and independently navigate their classroom community.

Pre-K

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten as they learn letter-sound relationships and sight-word recognition, and gain an understanding that writing is used to express thoughts and ideas. Children explore concrete mathematical concepts, such as simple addition and subtraction. Our character education program helps develop the strong social and emotional skills that ensure a successful transition to kindergarten.
