Early Preschool

Early Preschool Program inspired by Reggio Emilia curriculum that provides a rich learning environment that reflects our trust in children and their capacity for building relationships with their surroundings, each other, materials, concepts, and nature. Our Preschool Cottage classrooms group multi-age Pre-K rooms for ages 3 to 5. Junior Kindergarten

Our Junior Kindergarten program is for children not quite old enough for kindergarten or who may need additional skill development. This is the path for young 5-year-olds. We explore the structure and format of a day in kindergarten, with developmentally appropriate kindergarten curriculum. This program helps develop the critical skills your child needs for elementary school, such as: following multi-step instructions, organizing work, controlling impulses, sustaining attention, and finding multiple ways to solve problems. Child Care Services

Good Shepherd Family Childcare is a childcare based on holistic learning and a diverse curriculum which includes math, science, reading, writing and arts. There will also be time for playing and socializing.

Preschool

This classroom provides an enriched and challenging hands-on curriculum that continues to ignite children’s inner curiosity enabling realistic learning opportunities through a solid routine that brings out their creativity. Exploring world geography, reading multicultural literature, researching world cultures, playing traditional games are just some of the ways we are building a community of global learners. Throughout the learning process, our students are able to watch their teacher model, or demonstrate, each step in the task or strategy multiple times. Such modeling and repetition allows students to understand both how to perform each step and why each step is important. In this phase our children are practicing by applying their knowledge and developing it further by learning about the world and its food, music and clothing. Children will get to explore and experience various cultures Around the World.

Pre-K

Our super star explorers have already developed their Confidence, Commitment and Character and are now getting ready for the next phase in their preschool endeavors as future Kindergartners. These children will continue to be lifelong learners and will foster the love for exploration by further building on their existing knowledge base from getting additional exposure to science, math and technology. We implement many opportunities for growth and will continue to build on their emotional, social, cognitive, physical, communication, and academic skills. When the children leave our program, they will be ready to embark on their next journey and will be prepared to take on new challenges confidently!

Pre-Primary Preschool

Our Montessori preschool program for children ages 2 – 3.5 years provides the building blocks for the primary years, kindergarten and beyond. In Montessori prepared classrooms, our preschool for 2 year olds and preschool for 3 year olds are introduced to the five Montessori learning areas with hands-on, tactile learning experiences.

Primary Program

Our Primary preschool program for children ages 3.5 – 5 years is designed to meet the physical, cognitive and social needs intrinsic to children at this age and prepare them for Kindergarten and Elementary success. In Montessori prepared classrooms, our primary preschool for 3 year olds to 5 year old children are introduced to the five Montessori learning areas with hands-on, tactile learning experiences while ensuring development of higher order thinking, independence and responsibility.

Bridge Classroom

Children in the Bridge classroom are strengthening their self-care skills, growing in their independence and enhancing the skills they need to be successful in a preschool classroom. The Bridge classroom is a purposeful year of preschool prep designed for children with birthdays later in the year or children who may need more time to strengthen self-care skills or social-emotional development. In this classroom, our Wonder of Learning™ education program supports children's independence as they continue to build skills necessary for handwriting and drawing with increased intentionality, learn foundational math concepts and build strong vocabularies.
