Before and After School

Our before and aftercare program is designed to help our children embrace their imaginations and explore their world, while encouraging safe and healthy activities. Our programs have weekly themes that are explored throughout the room which encourage interactive learning in a variety of nontraditional subjects. We also have a study hall area where we provide assistance with homework and projects, and a game area where students have the chance to relax from their challenging days at school. Every student is provided a nutritious morning and afternoon snack, and transportation is provided at no additional cost.

Pre-K

Your child’s school readiness is the most important thing to us and that’s the focus of our Pre-K program. Building on Preschool learning, we focus on problem solving, responsive listening, language usage, and social skills. Our Focus on Literacy™ program features in-school and at-home activities designed to improve your child’s literacy and cognition in areas such as vocabulary development and alphabet knowledge. Before & After School

Get ready for a great start and finish to every school day. In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation. Camp Walden

Camp Walden is a six-week summer program hosted by Walden School in St. Matthews, Kentucky. Camp sessions are offered to PreK-12th Grade students, ranging from crafts, basketball, fine arts, baking, theater, and science. All camp sessions will be held in person on the Walden School campus.

Trained teachers spend time cuddling, singing, and reading to your child.

Baby Nido (Infants)

Smiles, cries, coos, and babbles flood the classroom with expression—a classroom intentionally designed to offer a homelike environment that will nurture and soothe. Our educators inspire and motivate these quickly developing minds and bodies, observing and recording their growing interests recognized in their gazes and discoveries. At KLA Schools, our educators understand the importance of creating a trust-filled relationship with your baby. By quickly and reassuringly responding to your baby’s needs, our Baby Nido teachers support their growing sense of confidence and well-being. Making eye contact, talking in a calm and quiet voice, singing, and cuddling ensure that your baby is content and ready to take on the next stage in their development.

2 Year Olds

We offer opportunities for children to encounter challenges that promote individual identity and collaborative play. In addition to emotional growth, the physical growth of fine motor skills provides two-year-olds with greater manipulative control and an increased desire for independence. As your two-year-old discovers all the things they can do, they will want to communicate with others and to do more things on their own. Our educators understand this and use various sensorial, fine motor, and gross motor experiences to encourage your child’s literacy and comprehension skills and desire for independence. These experiences also allow your child to interact with peers, become more social and begin to develop emotional control.

Half-day Toddler Preschool

Ivybrook Academy’s Toddler Preschool program is designed for the youngest citizens of our school community. This half-day program provides the perfect combination of play, learning opportunities, and flexibility, and we specialize in channeling their desire for exploration into activities that help them learn and grow.
