The Montessori method is based upon the observations and discoveries of the first female Italian physician, Dr. Maria Montessori. Her philosophy nurtures the joy of learning in children at an early age, providing a framework in which intellectual and social disciplines coexist. She believed that education is a lifelong process, and it should be an aid to life. Her philosophy was that children learn at their own pace and develop according to their own timetable. Their physical, emotional, psychic, and intellectual abilities are interrelated. Children must have freedom, within clearly defined limits, to develop their full potential. Based on this philosophy, Creative Playrooms Montessori Program provides children with a prepared learning environment that helps them think, organize, and observe. The teacher functions as a guide, aiding children in their choice of developmentally appropriate learning materials. This environment, along with the teacher’s role, distinguishes the Montessori Programs from other educational approaches. Kids Country Private Kindergarten provides just that foundation. Using Beginning to Read, Write and Listen, Harcourt Math, Let’s Find Out, Starfall, Zoophonics, and additional classroom enrichments, our Kindergartners score at first-, second- and third-grade levels on the Stanford Achievement Test. Field trips are scheduled to enhance the classroom lessons and classroom visitors are invited to bring the outside world into our classroom. Enrichment activities such as tennis lessons, karate lessons, swimming lessons and others are incorporated in the daily plan for our children to help build well rounded adults.

Before & After School

Get ready for a great start and finish to every school day. In our Before- and After-School Clubhouse for school-age students, we provide a mix of independent and organized activities, education and recreation, plus order and routine for their mornings and afternoons. This program focuses on: daily goal-setting, team-building exercises, healthy physical challenges, homework help, and community projects. We also offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s schedule and additional opportunities during school breaks, holidays, and summer vacation. And there may be transportation to and from your elementary school. Ask the director for details.

Drop-In Care

At Childtime, our Drop-In Care program gives you the freedom to purchase child care days in advance. This allows you to use them when you need them—all year long! As a parent, you’ll appreciate the reliability and flexibility while your child enjoys our proven early education curriculum in a safe, secure, fun environment. Our prepaid cards come in five-day increments and are good for one full year. Just call 48 hours in advance to reserve your spot.

Before and after school program focused on the developmental areas of: creative expression, community, literacy, inquiry-based learning, character development, and executive function. Daily routine includes: time for puzzles and games, science, math and construction, library, and creative arts. Teachers will also provide help with homework. Your child will have the opportunity to start clubs, create projects, and become a junior leader. Program provides daily physical activity and snacks.
