Montessori Program
The Montessori method is based upon the observations and discoveries of the first female Italian physician, Dr. Maria Montessori. Her philosophy nurtures the joy of learning in children at an early age, providing a framework in which intellectual and social disciplines coexist. School-age children in the Voyagers Classroom will do homework in a quiet area and be provided with help as needed, enjoy learning stations for STEM, sensory explorations, and building challenges, and join in organized outdoor activities (kickball, soccer, tag-related games) plus reading and arts and crafts. Private Kindergarten
Kids Country Private Kindergarten provides just that foundation. Using Beginning to Read, Write and Listen, Harcourt Math, Let’s Find Out, Starfall, Zoophonics, and additional classroom enrichments, our Kindergartners score at first-, second- and third-grade levels on the Stanford Achievement Test. Field trips are scheduled to enhance the classroom lessons and classroom visitors are invited to bring the outside world into our classroom.
