Bridge Classroom

Children in the Bridge classroom are strengthening their self-care skills, growing in their independence and enhancing the skills they need to be successful in a preschool classroom. The Bridge classroom is a purposeful year of preschool prep designed for children with birthdays later in the year or children who may need more time to strengthen self-care skills or social-emotional development. In this classroom, our Wonder of Learning™ education program supports children's independence as they continue to build skills necessary for handwriting and drawing with increased intentionality, learn foundational math concepts and build strong vocabularies.

In our Preschool classroom, children start their journeys into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting. At The Goddard School®, we recognize that classrooms are made up of many unique children and teachers work to create engaging, innovative, play-based lessons with the interests and needs of every child in mind. The uniqueness of each preschooler at Kids Country is embraced as our teachers and students strategize as a team to investigate our monthly Creative Curriculum theme while also exceeding state standards throughout the classroom designed to entice every type of learner. Each new day takes the children down a path of exploration as the preschoolers combine forces to master the skills necessary to progress to Kids Country PreKindergarten.

Pre-K

Academics in the Pre-Kindergarten are focused toward sending the students more than prepared for Kindergarten in all areas of their development. Math skills, such as sorting, patterning, numeral recognition and writing, addition and subtraction are introduced and enriched in the classroom. Look around the Pre-Kindergarten classroom and it’s clear that writing and beginning reading skills are stressed through sight words, whole language displays throughout the classroom, books in every curricular area. The natural exploration of letters, sounds, words and reading leads Kids Country students to early reading skills. Learning through exploration and play…it’s the Kids Country way.

Early Preschool

Our Early Preschool teachers partner with you to help your child learn important independent life skills like potty training and hand washing while paying close attention to all aspects of your child’s development.

Preschool Pathways

Our Preschool Pathways program provides a “bridge” between our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms for children whose birthdays will miss the cutoff date for kindergarten entrance.
