Infant Program

Our infant program focuses on warmth and nurturing. With our attentive and experienced staff, children are given individualized care throughout the day. Each child will experience positive development and feel safe and secure in our soothing, child-focused environment.

Toddler Program

At Great Beginnings, we ensure each child benefits from a well-rounded curriculum that includes intellectual, social, and emotional development. We also implement physical activity throughout the day for proper physical development, including gross and fine motor skills development.

Infants

Nurturing, snuggling, and loving! Our staff takes extra care to help make the transition back to work as easy as possible for both baby and family. You will find a safe, secure environment for your infant that leaves you with the peace of mind you need. Babies are provided with personal space for rest and individual attention and play spaces with attractive manipulatives that promote fine motor development. Our infants are offered a variety of experiences to meet their rapidly changing social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs. Our highly trained staff use our research based curriculum to create educational experiences that promote emerging skills while building a bond of trust through love and attention. The curriculum wraps stimulating activities within the routines of the day, giving your little one a firm foundation for learning.

Two's

Independent, and energetic! In their quest for independence, two year olds move, explore, challenge, test, and conquer! This classroom curriculum environment is staged for the transition between toddler and preschool, with learning centers that encourage exploration, climbers that stimulate development of large motor skills, and materials that engage children in hands on exploration. Our teachers continue to promote independence, and self-help skills such as learning to use the restroom, re-dress themselves, and wash their hands independently.

Preschool

Our preschool program sparks curiosity and confidence through joyful, hands-on learning. Each week, our teachers design engaging lesson plans that inspire children to explore the world around them, whether through a nature project in the garden or a fun science experiment. With a child-centered approach, we support the development of key academic skills like math, science, reading, and writing, all while fostering social and emotional growth through play. Preschoolers build friendships, solve problems, and develop independence in a secure, nurturing environment.

Toddlers

This is an age of discovery and wonder. Toddlers are becoming more aware of what is happening around them, often imitating others and learning what interests them. What’s more, as they begin to develop new skills, they begin to build greater confidence in their abilities. In addition to personal care, our toddler teachers focus on approaches to play and learning, cognitive development, communication and language development, physical development, and social & emotional development.

Infants

Hummingbirds: We understand that infants need nurturing, and parents need to feel secure knowing their child is in good hands. Our infant teachers are hand-picked natural caregivers who focus on meeting the individual needs of every child. While your child is in our care, you can rest assured that they will receive the attention and interaction they need and deserve. Recognizing that structure is essential to both infants and parents, our teachers will work with you to create a schedule, so your infant’s time away from home is as close to home as possible. Our hummingbird curriculum also includes our Global Gull American Sign Language Program. Most young children begin to talk around 12 months old, while some infants even try to communicate with their parents and caregivers even earlier! One way of helping our young children express their feelings, wants, and needs without crying and frustration of a lack of understanding from adults is through simple sign language, commonly known as ‘Baby Core Signs.’ These core signs include words like milk, sleep, play, all done, more, mother, father, etc.

Older Toddlers

Our Cardinal program supports older toddlers and their increased independence, exploration of emotions and feelings, and fast-developing use of language. We also understand and support their continued desire to explore everything about their world. We believe our play-based philosophy and learning center structure gives them the best opportunity to do this. Activities such as ice painting or sorting objects by color will stimulate your child’s inquisitive mind. While in a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment, our program is designed to encourage individual creative expression through your child’s own strengths and interests and foster a passion for learning!
