Our school was purposely designed and our classrooms thoughtfully curated with materials and learning centers that meet the needs of children 5 and under. Plus, before- and after-care is education-based, offering more essential skill development. We’re only closed for 9 holidays per year. Join us during school breaks and all summer. Our VPK/Pre-K program is is centered on interdisciplinary projects that create engaging learning experiences through hands on, open- ended explorations. This state-funded program is provided at no cost to families, with optional extended hours of care available for an additional cost beyond the standard VPK hours. Within this framework, children are prompted to engage in small peer groups, fostering the exploration, design, and presentation of their projects. Collaboration and communication become the cornerstones of all activities. This approach encourages learners to formulate hypotheses, investigate processes, and draw conclusions, empowering them to articulate and defend ideas, building confidence in their ability to formulate individual opinions and become the authors of their own learning journeys. Through these interdisciplinary projects, children engage in foundational learning skills such as math, science, social studies, and language arts in meaningful ways.

Our goals for PK4/5 go beyond preparation for Elementary School and into developing Thinking skills that promote their creativity, out of the box thinking, deep understanding, and problem-solving. We do so by promoting each child’s unique passions and needs in a space with multiple learning setups that respond to various interests and complement this with research-based Thinking Strategies to challenge them intellectually and promote deep comprehension. We develop autonomous, adaptable kindergarteners with the tools to build fulfilling and balanced lives beyond school.

Our specialized preschool curriculum uses rhymes, stories and hands-on activities to encourage those first steps toward building the foundational skills for reading, writing, math, and science.

Preschool Classroom

In our Preschool classroom, children start their journeys into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting. At The Goddard School®, we recognize that classrooms are made up of many unique children and teachers work to create engaging, innovative, play-based lessons with the interests and needs of every child in mind. Through the power of asking a question, your child will learn how to seek answers and advocate for themselves in the classroom. The Wonder of Learning™ curriculum takes your child's natural curiosity and encourages them to ask even more questions because asking questions fuels learning. Bridge Classroom

Children in the Bridge classroom are strengthening their self-care skills, growing in their independence and enhancing the skills they need to be successful in a preschool classroom. The Bridge classroom is a purposeful year of preschool prep designed for children with birthdays later in the year or children who may need more time to strengthen self-care skills or social-emotional development. In this classroom, our Wonder of Learning™ education program supports children's independence as they continue to build skills necessary for handwriting and drawing with increased intentionality, learn foundational math concepts and build strong vocabularies.

Our program is based on a progressive, and engaging hands-on curriculum focusing on emotional wellness, critical thinking, and creativity. Programming for our older children (5+ years) called Kinder Stars™, meets Florida’s Kindergarten state standards.
