In our Preschool classroom, children start their journeys into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting. Pre-Kindergarten

As children prepare for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities for them to develop the skills they will need while making friends and exploring the world around them. Our Pre-Kindergarten program helps your child learn more about themselves, others and the world around them. Teachers engage in play with students, helping them to develop their social skills and learn more about effective communication. Our Wonder of Learning™ curriculum emphasizes a child-led, teacher-guided approach, encouraging interactive, purposeful learning experiences that allows students to grow their math and literacy skills, preparing them for Kindergarten and beyond.

Pre-Kindergarten Prep Academy: Preschool

Our literacy-rich environment prepares your child for their first day of school. Classrooms are divided into learning centers, encouraging your child to learn new skills through self-selected, hands-on activities.

Kindergarten Prep Academy: Pre-K

Focused on preparing your children to begin Kindergarten the next year, our Pre-K classrooms focus on math, literacy, science and communication skills. Our teachers assess each child's development throughout the year, to help guide planning, teaching, and partnerships with parents.

Intermediates

Our Intermediate program, for children ages 3-4, provides children with many opportunities to explore learning centers and engage in authentic writing experiences. Your child will be introduced to literacy concepts and expand upon mathematical thinking and scientific inquiry through hands-on materials and exploration. Children will also begin to practice social-emotional skills and independently navigate their classroom community.

Pre-K

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten as they learn letter-sound relationships and sight-word recognition, and gain an understanding that writing is used to express thoughts and ideas. Children explore concrete mathematical concepts, such as simple addition and subtraction. Our character education program helps develop the strong social and emotional skills that ensure a successful transition to kindergarten.

Preschool Pathways

Our Preschool Pathways program provides a “bridge” between our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms for children whose birthdays will miss the cutoff date for kindergarten entrance.

Our Pre-K 3 program builds early learning skills through play, structure, and social interaction. With caring teachers, fun activities, and a focus on independence, your child gains confidence and school readiness in a safe, nurturing environment. Meals, CCMS, and Procare included.

Pre-K 4 Year Olds

Our Pre-K program for 4-year-olds prepares children for kindergarten through hands-on learning, early literacy, math, and social skill development. With caring teachers, structured routines, and fun activities, kids build confidence in a safe, nurturing space. CCMS accepted and meals included.

The goal of Shining Stars Preschool is for every child to have to opportunity to learn in a safe and nurturing environment where they are provided daily experiences to learn through exploration and hands-on activities. I am an EC-4 certified teacher and have small class sizes.
