Discovery Preschool

Preschool program designed to create a strong academic and social foundation. Teachers introduce math, literacy, and science. Activities also include music, movement, art, pretend play, and group games. Children become an active part of their classroom community.

Preschool Program

Your child’s day is filled with creating, experimenting, and imaginary play. Curriculum includes: math, science, language, and spanish. Children begin to expand social skills and build friendships.

Beginning Preschool

The Beginning Preschool program is a program for children starting at 2.5 to 3.5 years. Preschoolers in this classroom will experience hands-on learning daily through a wide range of activities, develop fine motor skills that will help with writing, and practice gross motor skills outdoors to gain better control over larger muscles. Great Start Readiness Program

Experts agree that children who have quality early learning experiences are better prepared to be successful in school and throughout life, so Wee Discover offers the Great Start Readiness Program as part of Great Start Collaborative-Oakland. GSRP is a free, high quality preschool program that, like Head Start, uses research-based curriculum to prepare children both academically and socially. This program is certified as very high quality by the Early Childhood Investment Corporation. Half- and full-day openings at certain schools and childcare centers, with transportation available at select sites. To enroll, children must be four years old on or before September 1 of the upcoming school year. GSRP and Wee Discover are committed to ensuring all children under the age of 5 receive routine developmental screenings.
