Mi Escuelita Daycare and Preschool is a bilingual program in Spanish and English. Our philosophy is play-based learning, where children explore, discover, and grow through meaningful experiences. We currently have openings for preschoolers and infants.

Kindergarten

Full-day program providing a kindergarten experience that will fully prepare children for elementary school. Child-led and project-based curriculum encourages teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Daily routine includes STEM activities and interactive games. Caring teachers ensure that your child gets plenty of practice in math, reading, writing, and science.

Kindergarten

Challenger’s fun-filled kindergarten program engages students and develops their ability to stay on task in order to optimize their success. We’ve perfected the balance between play and learning so well that our kindergartners can’t tell the difference—it’s a seamless environment of learning and fun.

Extended Classtime

During Extended Classtime, students enjoy games, art and craft activities, music, reading and various enrichment classes. The afternoon session also includes a brief recess, the opportunity to complete homework, and a time to eat a snack.

School Age Care

We offer before and after school care. All snacks and meals are provided. Activities are scheduled monthly on our calendar including trips to the park and library, neighborhood walks, immersive art projects, gardening and kitchen fun. Everyday we have free play and homework time.

"ET" Kids! Summer Camps!

Each camp offers themed activities and field trips. From the beach to the mountains - museums and scavenger hunts - painting, cooking, baking and gardening - picnics and barbecues - science projects - swimming and water fun - parks galore! Join us for an unforgettable summer!

Infants

In this class we brighten up the world by helping our youngest children discover their senses, explore their surroundings, nurture their development and celebrate their milestones. From one-on-one interactions that help build nurturing relationships in everyday moments to age-appropriate books to support speech and language development, our classrooms provide the ideal setting for the youngest children. We are also encouraging children to work on finger painting, music, and pretend play to spark creativity while also exposing them to structures to help with perceptual motor development. When children leave this classroom they will have a Brighter Beginning to the world around them.

Older Toddlers

Our classrooms are filled with endless learning opportunities to enhance children’s cognitive and language skills with basic academics through small-group activities that encourage investigation, exploration, and discovery. Our scaffolding approach is a critical component in teaching new tasks with multiple steps where our teachers provide support for students. Our children that are now engaging in short sentence conversions are able to absorb information within our curriculum that is designed to support creative expression, literacy and music by fostering their curious minds. By introducing skills that enable independence through enriching art projects and hands-on activities, we are ensuring they are able to expand concepts that were developed in Little Explorers.

Child Care Program

Welcome to our warm home daycare! We care for infants and toddlers with a nurturing routine. We start with breakfast and morning songs, followed by outdoor free play. Inside, we do fun activities, snack time, eat lunch, and rest at naptime. End-of-day free play wraps up our happy days!

Bridges to Kinder Parent

Established in 2003, we provide Positive Discipline and Child Development workshops for parents along with our play-based curriculum for children. Our location on the Westlake Elementary School campus is ideal for preparing children for their transition into kindergarten and beyond.
