During hot days, she keeps the AC on, which I really appreciated. She also has a nice backyard where the kids can spend time outside and play. One of my favorite things was how well she took care of meals. You can smell breakfast when you walk in during drop-off, and she consistently has breakfast, lunch, and snacks ready for the kids. Her snack cabinet is always full! I always knew my son was well-fed—he would often come home so full that he barely wanted dinner, which honestly gave me peace of mind. She was also incredibly nurturing, especially when my son was younger and needed extra comfort. She made sure he felt safe, often holding and soothing him. As he grew older, he became more independent and even learned to fall asleep on his own while in her care. He adjusted quickly, and even during transitions—which can be tough for kids—Jennifer made the environment fun and supportive. We were specifically looking for a play-based daycare to introduce him to a structured setting, and Lavender and Lime was perfect for that. The only reason we left was to move both of our kids to the same school for convenience and to begin a Montessori-style program. Otherwise, we absolutely would have stayed. My son Bleu LOVED being with Mrs. Jen and was sad when he went on to preschool. Bleu was so advanced for his age because Jen taught him colors, shapes and so many nursery rhymes. He often asked to stay a little longer with her and she'd let him stay well after my pick up time so I can get a mani/pedi or shop for groceries. I was truly bless knowing my son was in her amazing care and I honestly can't thank her enough for all she did for me as a single mom working double shifts at times.

Miss Jens Family Home Daycare has provided my wife and I with the help and support we needed when my wife had to go back to work after our son was born. Miss Jen has been so wonderful for my almost two year old son. She provides nutritious meals for all of the children and always makes sure to keep things he loves. She is creative and provides sensory activities and art projects. Her home is very clean and organized and my son is very happy in her care. At pick up time he is clean and well fed. Miss Jen often sends me cute videos and pictures and certainly if I ever ask for a video she will send one. I hope to keep my son with Miss Jen until he ages out of her program as he loves her as a member of his family.
